The Quality of the First 4 Rounds are Being Underrated

Cotto did alot better then expected; some people are overlooking that. This wasn't exactly B-Hop vs. Pavlik, far from that really. Cotto was able to outbox Pacquiao for most of the rounds, only to have Pacquiao steal them in the last seconds. Cotto ate some really hard body shots early on also.

I wouldn't say outboxed at all. Landed hard jabs every now and then, and would unload when manny would let him hit him ( I had no idea why manny wanted to do this, he could have easily danced away).

People forget Cotto won the first round and was winning round 3 and 4 but he got KD. Then he started moving back insted of bringing pressure to Pacquiao or boxing in the midle of the ring. and pacquiao's face did not look good after the fight so Cotto did some damage but mentaly Cotto is not the same guy he was back in 06-07.

I dont think this mentally **** matters at all. There was absolutly nothing he could have done to beat Pac.

First 5 rounds were very exciting. Highly skilled back and forth action. Round 3 was great when Cotto got put down and really fought back. 4 especially was wow. It's just unfortunate that Cotto couldn't keep up the pace just a few more rounds. Because we would have been treated to some more great action. Maybe 3 years ago he could have done as much.
