I don't get how beating a guy from one division lower and you being in the later end of the P4P list could get you P4P#1.

I could see Cotto being 2-4...but one?? Nope.

How can you be #1 P4P and NEVER BEAT A CHAMPION FOR A BELT??

Such low standards in boxing if that's the case.

The P4P list is already messed up the way it is with the way that Floyd has leap frogged fighters who had more impressive victories. Hopkins beating Pavlik to me is more impressive than beating JMM even though both fighters had to move up in weight because Pavlik had fought as high as 168 before. And Mosley beating Margarito is a lot more impressive than Floyd's win as well. Hopkins, Mosley, and Mayweather all have something in common. They have been inactive like a mofo. But Floyd has been the most inactive out of the three along with having the least impressive win. But yet he is ranked over all those guys. Now I know that I got some stick for bringing up Paul Williams. But who has been more active than he has as far as activity besides Cotto? So if Williams got his chance to beat Pavlik and succeeded, that to me would've trumped everything else that everybody had done because of the fact that people view Paul as untested at 160. The only thing that you could take away from it is the fact that Hopkins had already beaten Pavlik in a one-sided fight.

Now obviously with the way the top five is set up as it stands, Cotto should definitely be #1 if he beats Pacquiao tonight, because Pacquiao is considered a way better fighter than JMM at higher weights. But it still is bull**** that a guy automatically shoots to the top for beating a smaller guy just like Floyd did. Should Klitchko be #1 if he beats Floyd or Cotto?

Mayweather will be #1 but Cotto would jump around 2-4.

It would be feckin lunacy to install Mayweather as number 1 based on 1 fight against a super featherweight in 3 years. I understand he used to be ,but no,just no.

It will be Mayweather with Cotto coming in 2nd or they might make Cotto #1 fighter and Mayweather stays at # 2. Either way the idea is to have the best P4P fighters go ad it so they can advertise the fight of who's the real P4P king.

If Cotto makes the #1 fighter this might force Mayweather to fight him. I doubt he wants to retire as #2 or looked at as being the 2nd best fighter. But I say Pac bests Cottto.

Cotto should jump to #1 for beating a guy moving up in weight, but he should definitely jump to #2 or #3.
