I don't think the outcome of this particular fight will change my mind on the P4P ranking in Ring Magazine or among all of Boxing fans around the world

IMO PBF is the P4P best fighter in Boxing. Styles make fights, and it isn't necessarily "If Boxer A beats P4P#1, he becomes P4P#1", because generally P4P greats have proven their ability through numerous weight classes, whereas Cotto really has been JWW/WW for most of his professional career.

I don't consider Cotto a top-P4P fighter, but I consider him in the top 2 or 3 of the WW division.
I don't see how you couldn't have Cotto in the top 10 P4P...he beat Shane...so would you not have Shane in it?

edit: I don't want to sound like a Cotto hater, he is my favorite fighter right now

Doesn't mean his opinion doesn't count, he makes a good point.

Cotto is not one of the 10 best boxers on the planet, he is far too raw for that, in terms of achievement he is certainly top 10 though.

Well it depends on how you rank pound for pound...by achievements...or by if everyone was at the same weight...or do you mix in both...

If you do it on everyone at the same weight I'd have Floyd #1

Mix in both I could see Pac at #1...I'm not too aware of how the rankings work

I don't think Paul is in the top 5...so idk how he could jump that high...

He would leap over JMM, Calderon, B-Hop, Mosley...I don't think so

My opinion is if everyone was the same weight. Which means a guy like Vitali Klitschko would be higher p4p than Cotto, sounds crazy but that's my opinion.
