I can't believe people are really making an argument for Leonard as #1? Come on now.

My favorite fighter of all time is Trinidad. And, I would love to put him in the top 10. But, he is not a top 10 WW. I would probably put Tito at #15. But, that might be cuz i'm little biased. My only argument is that Basillo is way ahead of Trinidad. They should be closer together. Me personally would put Trinidad ahead of Basillo.

All I know is Oscar better not be top 10

Whitaker is one of the top 5 greatest LW of all time. But, maybe not top 10 WW.

Here is my top 10 WW list.

    1. Sugar Ray Robinso
    2. Henry Armstrong
    3. Kid Gavillan
    4. Jimmy McClarnin
    5. Sugar Ray Leonard
    6. Sam Langford
    7. Jose Napoles
    8. Barney Ross
    9. Emile Griffith
    10. Joe Walcott (the orginal)

I think you can make an argument for Thomas Hearns and Miickey Walker on the top 10 list.

It does look like Pipino Cuevas, Curtis Cokes will not make the list. And, maybe Wilfredo Benitez not make the list all together. I don't think Benitez is a top 10. So I doubt he will make it.

The list is ridiculous, Tito at 21? WTF? Carmen Basilio out of the top 15?

I think that Robinson was unbeatable at 147, had a record something like 90-100 wins against 1 loss, which was to middleweight La Motta. [I'm open to correction here] His middleweight work not nearly as impressive, since he lost so many times, and was already well on the downslide. Perhaps the fact that he won the title so many times when obviously past his best is probably significant as to his midleweight quality.

However I'd say he had a much better run as a welter.

And thats complete Garbage. The Divisional rankings are suppose to be of what you did in that Particular division not your overall entire career.

Tito was the lineal Champ, unified champ, 15 title defenses at ww and faced and faced 9 champs of former champs. Tito is a top 10 easy!!!!

Robinson only lost once in his 20's and in his first 135 fights. And, that lone loss was against Lamotta like you mentioned at MW. I agree Robinson was unbeatable at 147.

Tito is not an easy top 10 bro. The WW division has over a 100yrs of history and has a lot of great fighters Sam Langford, Joe Walcott, Mickey Walker, Barney Ross, Leonard, Robinson, McClarnin, Gavillan, Griffith, Napoles, Armstrong. That is 11 fighters right there and there is no way you can honestly say Tito easily ranks ahead any of them. Plus you add Hearns, Rodrigues, Zivic, and Whitaker, and Basillo. I mean is not easy at all. I would put Tito ahead of Basillo but that is really a toss up. I mean Trinidad that's my guy. I would admit I am Tito nuthugger. But, I am being realistic and thinking more with my brain than my heart. My he heart says Tito is anywher from top 10-15. But, my brain can't forget the history of this weightclass eighter. They wat it looks I think is a compliment that Trinidad is ahead of Pipino Cuevas, Curtis Cokes, and Wilfredo Benitez. Who I think are great fighters and great WWs.

You shouldn't call this list garbage unless you can make a top 10. is not that easy let alone a top 25. The only way this list is garbage is if Oscar is in the top 10. Which I seriously doubt he will be. But, go ahead and make a top 10 list.

I like and enjoy reading Cliff's articles and lists. I don't always agree with everything he has to say, but you have to give him credit for doing his research and trying to back up his work.

If you don't like them, that's fine, but you shouldn't take them to heart and be overly disgusted by them like some have.

I agree if Oscar is on the top 10 list it is a garbage list. But, there are too many great fighters at WW. That I seriously doubt Oscar would be on it.
