Always hated the fact that he never gave benitez the rematch. Great close match. It was a chess game. Benitez gets dropped with only seconds to finish the fight and they stop it. Not even a count. And the score cardswere very close. This fight deserved a rematch

Yeah, Boldomir will get in the Hall of Fame, no doubt.

          lol

This obviously is the same genius who came up with the top 25 lightheavies. Boxingscene you guys are gonna lose readers if you continue to let this guy post. Fair enough give credit to the all time greats, but lets not be silly. Pernell whitaker is one of the greatest fighters of all time, let alone one of the top welters of all time. I can't remember where you placed him but anything above the top five is comical. Stop playin with people's minds. Or stop writing if you are serious about these rankings. Big words and long paragraphs don't equate to accurate statements guy. You killing me with these rankings.

Whatever else can be said, though, they are, without question, the two best welters who ever fought, whether you have Leonard or Robinson first on your own list. Anyone else, and you shouldn't even be allowed to watch the sport, in my opinion.
I take it you have never heard of Henry Armstrong.

And a few others achieved more at Welter than Leonard did. These lists aren't fantasy match-ups, they are at least as much about résumé as they are about ability. Leonard's Welterweight résumé was very good, but I doubt it'll get him higher than #5 or so in the list.

It would certainly lose readers if there were too many ignorant posters like you. Cliff has forgotten more about boxing than you will ever know.

Sir, with all due respect. Knowledge is not based upon depth. I can recite to you every word of the martin luther king I have a dream speech, that does not equate to me having more knowledge than someone who can't recite the words. Facts are facts cupcake. Fact is Pernell Whitaker deserves more respect, tito trinidad deserves more respect. Sir.

They are getting plenty of respect. For example, Cliff said that Whittaker was a defensive genius, and you can hardly show someone more respect than to call them a genius. But you aren't giving enough respect to those ranked above them. And that's because of your lack of knowledge.

You're also not taking into account that this is not a fantasy "who would beat whom" list, and that in an ATG list, achievements at the weight are at least as important as ability. For instance, how many Hall of Famers did Whittaker officially beat? McGirt is not a Hall of Famer.

Kudos for the genius remark. And granted I'm not 50 years old, but it appears that I know a bit more than you may be giving me credit for. Just because I don't agree with those being ranked above him, doesn't mean that I don't believe they were great fighters. And unfortunetly anytime you compose a list comparing fighters that never had the chance to fight one another, its a fantasy list, its a who would beat who list, perhaps thats why you guys can assemble an accurate dipiction of who should be ranked where. And not that I'm a huge McGirt fan, I believe he would've been able to beat a few of the guys on the list.

If I see Oscar De La Hoya rated in the top 10 then I know this list is BS!! or written by someone who is in Oscar's payroll...
