OR let me guess it was just in the Cotto fight?

Cotto will retire pretty soon anyway because he has been spoiled by HBO and Arum getting multi-million dollar paydays to fight an opponent like Alfonzo Gomez. Jermaine Taylor might be too damaged to enjoy his money. I think when it's all said and done, Cotto will be too.

Some of the amateur boxers that Cotto faced had more quality and skills than the 1st 6 years (he was already at 122lbs by that time) of Pacman's PRO career when he was just fighting bums in the in the Phillipines and Japan.

Please find me better oponents than Ivan Calderon or Muhammad Abdullaev in Pacman's 1st 6 years as a PRO. and plenty others he faced as an amateur.

Pacman's career deserve all the recognition he is getting and probably more but to dicredit Cotto just because Cotto had a great amateur career facing oponents that eventually turned pro, some of which won Titles it's just ******.

Cotto should NOT retire if he loses....he still has a lot of boxing years ahead of him even if he loses...he is a top WW and should remain so even with this lose

Cotto has sad several times that he would retire when he turns 30. He just turned 29 so i guess he will retire after next year. However I noticed that you just mentioned Gomez. Did you forget conveniently that he fought, Judah, Paulie, Mosley, Margarito and Clottey. Once ou establish your quality and fan base it doesn't matter who you face ou will get paid and Cotto has been a fighte that has earned it because he always shows up to fight without ducking nobody and it his agressive, bloodful style that generates that fanbas and Millions. If he was not generating the money do you think Arum will be paying it????

Lupe also said that the 13 North American colonies should've retired after the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolutionary War. "They just took too much damage" he said.

                      Lupe Pintor, a thinker.
