Yes it would. See this is why I hate sports fans and this is also why i hate talking about sports with people. Fans are entitled to jack and **** in my opinion and expecting that every boxing match "has" to be entertaining because you spent a whole 50$ is unreasonable. Grow the **** up already!!

Haha, yes exactly Libido. I think tonight proved more than ever to me how the judges can screw up scoring. Expectations and point of view can play a big part.

Yorgey did have a good amount of fans there actually. The fans were cheering for the excitement alone in terms of Angulo. I think the majority wanted Yorgey to win, but like you said, the end was pretty much already determined. It was a great KO though, one of those great KOs you can watch over and over.

You could tell from watching it on tv that it barely sold. All the seats in the background were empty.

Dawson is a loser, his fights are losers and his style is a loser.

I hope HBO dumps him soon.

I don't understand why HBO has invested in Chad Dawson either. I'm not saying this because of his style, but I'm saying it because of the fact that he can't draw flies to ****. As big of a Paul Williams fan as I am, I kind of think he's a liability to HBO where there budget is concerned. They paid way too much for his fight against Winky.

I too would like Chad to be more entertaining but don't buy into the whole "he owes it to the fans" thing. A famed Connecticut fighter (like Dawson) Willie Pep went down in history for supposedly winning a round without throwing a punch. Why does Dawson receive different treatment nowadays? The modern day boxing fan has a much shorter attention span and a much lower appreciation for actual skill.
In the old days Pep was considered a Hero. So no matter how boring he fights, he still sell his fight. These days... the Hero's are the star Players or Fighters. Can Dawson at least act like a Hero??? So who are his People??? Pac has the Pinoys, Tiger & Jordan has the African American & both elite/ or not Americans, Can Dawson be a Hero to whom??? those Fans that shows up were his Fans. Did he act like Hero to them???

Isn't that sort of a terrible stance to take.

I mean, boxing is a sport, correct? Not a show?

What type of sport would boxing be if it shut out the best fighters simply because they're not exciting enough? Would Wladimir Klitchcko even have a career?

I'm looking forward to Dawson getting in the ring with some opponents that he can actually look good against. Tarver and Johnson basically are impossible to KO so I can't blame Chad for taking them for 4 decisions.

No, but you have to also understand that Chad hasn't fought but twice in Connecticut in the last 4 years. Tonight was the first real exposure his hometown fans had for him.

                    Blame it on technology.

Back in the days, there's nothing to do, they will gladly settle for a boring fight, it's better than nothing for them. Chad has loads of talent, but that doesn't guarantee you instant fans that will attend your fights diligently or buy your PPVs religiously. I myself decided to watch the Breeder's Cup AGAIN on my DVR after watching 10 rounds, it was putting me to sleep on a Saturday night...

Even though Dawson is not as boring as Cory Spinks even Spinks draws more fans in his home town. Lol. Maybe Chad needs Nelly or Young Joc to walk him into the ring and Chad should dance to the music.
