Yeah those fights would've been packed houses. You don't have to tell me.

The turnout was the most upseting for me, believe me. Whether you like Chad Dawson or not, how would you like it if you went to a fight 10 minutes away and after seeing the turnout realizing you probably won't get this opportunity again? I'm utterly disgusted with the turnout for this fight, and the crowd itself was miserable.

I realize Chad is not Arturo Gatti, but it's a little ridiculous when your hometown boos you.

Anyway, even though the crowd ****** and Chad didn't KO Johnson, I thought he did a damn good job in firming his claim as the best LHW in the world. His talent cannot be overlooked.

During the fight, people booed even though Dawson was dominating the entire time. I know he's not the most exciting fighter, but this was a terrible display of a an amateur crowd. They would've been better suited to put this at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, the casinos.

Anyways, when I saw the fight live, I had it much closer, like the 2 judges, 115-113, but it must've been because of the negative crowd. After watching on HBO it was amazing how much I didn't take in Chad's dominance in the fight the first time.

Unfortunately for me, the poor performance of this fight in terms of ticket sales probably means I won't get to see anymore good boxing 10 minutes away from my house. Thanks a lot Connecticut. All you boxing fans from Connecticut who see this and didn't go to this fight should be ashamed. You have a vested interest in attending fights in your area and you made a terrible showing.

So anyways, Chad Dawson is one hell of a fighter and he'll be here for a while, so get used to it.
Don't Blame the fans!!! Blame the Boring fighters!!!

Can anybody learn from Manny Pacquiao??? "Great Power comes with Great responsibility!!!" "I want to make people Happy". Can any fighter has a clue that boxing is not only a sport but also an entertainment???

Before boxing... it was called simply a Fight. But Dawson running around like Floyd the whole time is one boring style. Why copy a style from Zaheer Raheem or Floyd???? can anybody tell Dawson to take some style from SRL, SRR, or Hearns????

I'm tired of watching this kind of boxing. I'm glad there's Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley, Vasquez, & Pavlik left in Boxing. These are the ones keeping the boxing alive.

He got booed coz he disrespected the paying fans instead of putting on a show.

Earning big money carries a responsibility dude.

The fact is, if Dawson wants to be a draw, he's going to have to be very good for a large stretch of time, slowly building a fan base in the process.

If Gary Shaw were smart, there would be no more fighting in Vegas or Florida for Dawson. He should be fighting in Connecticut, New York,or New Jersey. He should do his best to build him a fan base in the Northeast.

Dans, are you saying you know now how judges can fück up the scoring?

Also, did Yorgey have a lot of fans there tonight? It sounded on TV (at least on mine) like the crowd was cheering for the inevitable KO, but I thought HBO said he had a fanbase there.

This is why I don't think Calzaghe and Hopkins will ever fight the guy. He's lame and he does not create any excitement. It's not like Joe and Bernard are exciting fighters themselves (Joe isn't endeered to the American public), (They are not as boring as Chad though). So they know they need an opponent that will generate some fan interest.

Gary Shaw needs to feed Dawson a bunch of Bums so he can look spectacular. Any decent opponent will create a boring match with Dawson. I think Dawson didn't trust his Chin & Stamina. He fights scared!!!

What many are overlooking is just how difficult it is to look good against Glen Johnson. Johnson is so good at blocking punches it makes it hard to land anything clean. That being said, Chad landed more and at a better percentage, there's no doubt he won.

I too would like Chad to be more entertaining but don't buy into the whole "he owes it to the fans" thing. A famed Connecticut fighter (like Dawson) Willie Pep went down in history for supposedly winning a round without throwing a punch. Why does Dawson receive different treatment nowadays? The modern day boxing fan has a much shorter attention span and a much lower appreciation for actual skill.
