Maybe it has to due with his trainers? Santiago's first job of training Cotto was for the Clottey fight. Maybe Evangelista was better as the trainer.
No one looks good against Clottey.

I'm telling you all to look at the attributes. Don't look at how easy it was to beat one of them from the other. Look at his attributes. His speed was better and his defense was better. Opponents have nothing to do with how your speed and defense is. It's either you have the same speed and defense in every fight or you don't.
The atributes have everything to do with the opponent, he looked faster against a slower fighter, his defense was better against a less skilled fighter.

his speed was better with jennings because he had a bigger target to hit..clottey offers hardly nothing to hit..hense cotto was more hesitant

his defense was better with jennings because he was fighting a lesser talented fighter....

Of course it changes. If one fighter is more predictable than the other, your defense will obviously look superior against that fighter.

                don't be ignorant.

jennings had no business fighting cotto.

clottey actually belonged in the ring w/ cotto.

                that's all that was

During the Jennings fight Cotto fought at his pace.
In the Clottey fight both fights fought at there pace at times.
                  That was the difference.

Bottom line its was the quality of opponents. Clottey >>>> Jennings.

Maybe, but I have to say Cotto looked a lot better against Mosley than he did vs Clottey. After fighting Margarito he doesn't seem or look the same. I took a look at the Mosley, Cotto fight and he looked quick and strong. So quick that the announcers were saying he was quicker than Mosley and that his quickness was underestimated. If Cotto fought that day against Pac I think Cotto would have no trouble in taking him out.

Lol.. Have you ever fought? Opponents have EVERYTHING to do on how good you look in the ring. You can look like Whitaker boxing your 9 year old girl but when a prime Tyson is coming at you, you aint dodging ****.
