Paul Williams-Sergio Martinez Will Be at 160-pounds

Losing muscle weight is far harder that losing fatty weight, we are still a month away but at this point I'll take anythingProbably fear weight-drain since Williams is adjusted to 160 but the problem with this fight now is that we have a smaller man moving up and now its not even for a belt. The whole point of fighting Martinez would be for his belt but his belts not even on the line.

I guess Pwill wants 160 because he should hold a bigger advantage and Martinez stand is explained above.hmm that might be possible. as I really thought this whole 147-168 was gonna be Williams new gimmick so to speak.
but Paul hasn't been at Welter since the Quintana rematch .. and he's so tall and big for the division he could have outgrown Welter.
I won't jump to conclusions though .. but it would be good to know.
anyway.
exactly. bold we're in agreement . the article says Sergio "didn't have a problem" why would he?
1. he gets a good fight vs Williams
and
2. Doesn't risk his title
I know, I know Martinez holds one of four recognized belts but unless Paul cannot make 154
why not fight for the title?
considering Paul didn't even weigh 160 vs Winky .. I don't see the sense in fighting a 154 titlist at Middle
what a dumb dumb Williams does all this mouthing off about being unable to land a big fight, getting ducked etc
and he's fighting a Super Welterweight at Middleweight ... lol
**I am intrigued to hear more on the issue of WHY 160 vs 154
Still it could be interesting to know how come Williams can make 154 for Clottey and not for Martinez. Boxingscene should press the issue since the seem to have a good pipeline for info from the pwill camp.Comment

I don't like these moronic fights where someone comes up in weight for their first time and fights one of the best at 160. Just like I don't like how Marquez for coming up in weight(alot more weight) and fighting one of the best at 147 in his first fight at 147. This is just business moves and its **** ones. Paul Williams first fight at 160 was against Andy something some bum to test how good he was at 160. I like when fighters do that because that makes more sense overall.
You know how ******ed it was for Pavlik to fight at 170 against Hopkins when Hopkins was one of the best around 170-175 weight class.
Very dumb move!

Its a proof that Williams is scared to fight a guy at his own weight. He has to fight them "sick" or he won't fight them. That's my impression anyway...I don't like these moronic fights where someone comes up in weight for their first time and fights one of the best at 160. No, I do believe that. Martinez is a good boxer, he has good boxing skills but he doesn't have the pop. Honestly, I think Williams moving up has increased his power and will be backing down Martinez the whole fight. I think Williams is going to throw a lot and eventually stop Martinez. Williams is very good and I think the only way you beat him is to put him in the ring with a good, strong pressure fighter in the 60s. If Margarito was a bigger man he would of had the skills to beat Williams but being that Margarito was a 147 guy he wasn't able to. Pavlik would beat Williams.Comment
