How is it that in a division full of so much potential, that just a couple years ago it was easily the most overlooked weightclass in boxing make a complete 360 turn a round and easily be one of the most talented today?

And yet with all these great contenders out there and possible match-ups waiting to happen, that The number 1 rank easliy outclasses every single individual including rank 2-10? To the point where in this tournament before Kessler even fought that he is such a huge favorite to easily beat every single fighter with one handtied behind his back?

All i'm sayin is Kessler ain't no Ali. The only time he's ever been tested was his debut on HBO against an oppenent who ranks in the top 10 most overrated fighters of all time in Calzaghe, and he was outclassed!

You people need to revaluate Kessler a lil bit...

yea you didnt see? Calzaghe retired on his stool after round 3...

Funny, cuz what you quoted said I based on career not 1 fight.

          And i'll say it again

          Bhop's Career >>>>>>>>> Calzaghe's Career

Its whatever. Calzaghe did slap his way to an ugly decision victory. Bhop still goes down higher on the ATG list any day of the week

I think Kessler is the favourite rightfully. He holds wins over Mundine, Andrade and Beyer, who like it or not were world-class 168-pounders. The only other guy with wins over top level 168-pounders pre-tournament is Carl Froch, who everyone believes is the weak link in the whole thing, and even then Jermaine Taylor headed into the Froch fight on the back of one gig at 168.

Between Ward and Abraham and Dirrell, the only reputable name on their resume was Miranda. Abraham was new at the weight, Dirrell fought nobody, and Ward beat Miranda.

The logical favourite was, and still is Kessler. There are still question marks over everybody in the tournament. Abraham may struggle when he fights his first big and strong super-middleweight and has a low work-rate, Dirrell is still very inexperienced; he had no right to lose against Froch but he contrived to do so through large periods of negativity. Andre Ward too is very experienced. Froch is widely regarded as being fairly crude, hittable and slow, with no defence. Jermaine Taylor is effectively over-the-hill after back -to-back devastating knockout defeats.

The only question mark over Kessler is whether he is as good as we think he is - we already know he is good.

Perhaps you should wait until atleast midway through the tourney with calling a world champion overrated.
