Mikkel Kessler? Overrated??

Hey if Kessler wins this tourney i'll praise him all day for being the best. But You aint the best until u beat the best and thats what the Super 6 is, The best

Aren't most ppl just saying that they have him as favourite for the super6? which is not that surprising since he's the highest ranked and most proven at SMW.

That's not saying he can't lose - just that he's more likely to win than any of the other guys individually.

The reason I think he's Overrated or actually Overestimated is bcuz b4 he lost to Calzaghe he was rank 2 while Calzaghe was Rank 1. I was rooting for Kessler to win and actually thought he would since I was never impressed by Calzaghe. But he lost, It aint like he was schooled but it was a clear decision for Calzaghe. Well now Calzaghe is the champ, and since then, Kessler aint fight any1 at all. He did collect a vacant title, but it's like he was at the top of the ladder and didnt get knocked down at all. And Now for some reason even tho he didnt do **** since his loss, he's suddenly the number 1 Guy. I agree he's better than all the other champions, but to be Rank 1 you gotta fight the best and I feel as tho he's number 1 just cuz Calzaghe retired.

Didn't you say earlier that he got schooled?

Anyway, Kessler has had promotional problems post Calzaghe and had to break away from his old promoter just to enter the Super Six. That's why he hasn't done much since.

The only thing is, you seem to be basing it off of people who are exaggerating his talent and skills. Like you brought up the Ali comparison. I mean the guy fights nothing like him, so I'm just curious where or how you're making these comparisons.

I made the Ali Comparison solely on all the hype i been seeing for kessler as of lately on here. I didnt compare their fighting styles, jus stated that I think ppl are overestimating him as if he is an ATG great like Ali.

Then that's rediculous. I consider myself a big Kessler (if you didn't get that by now ), and he's not close to that level. I don't see nearly enough threads to get that impression. It's not like this place is flooded with Kessler threads 24/7. I think that maybe you're looking into this way too much.

Haha nahh I kno he aint on Ali's Level. lol more of a spur of the moment type thing to get my point across ya kno. It's not even the threads tho, it's more of the predictions. Alot of ppl are writing Ward off and give him no chance. Why tho? It's all opinion. I jus never saw nothing special with him to be able to say Kessler wins this Tourney easliy
