Mikkel Kessler? Overrated??

Kessler is good but he is the most overrated fighter today by far.

How is it that in a division full of so much potential, that just a couple years ago it was easily the most overlooked weightclass in boxing make a complete 360 turn a round and easily be one of the most talented today?

And yet with all these great contenders out there and possible match-ups waiting to happen, that The number 1 rank easliy outclasses every single individual including rank 2-10? To the point where in this tournament before Kessler even fought that he is such a huge favorite to easily beat every single fighter with one handtied behind his back?

All i'm sayin is Kessler ain't no Ali. The only time he's ever been tested was his debut on HBO against an oppenent who ranks in the top 10 most overrated fighters of all time in Calzaghe, and he was outclassed!

You people need to revaluate Kessler a lil bit...

nobody is saying Kessler is Ali or an ATG. He is a very good fighter and the most proven in this tournament and the rightly favorite. and thats it.

Pretty much, I don't see anyone saying he's a ATG.. just that he has the potential to beat everyone in the tournament and SMW division.

This thread has been done thousands of times, I cant be bothered finding the info that's been posted before that shows that Kessler fought and beat pretty much everyone that mattered in the SMW division at the time, unified a couple of belts on the way and only losing to Calzaghe..

He was only 2 points down at the end of the fight + he addapted and won last round toe to toe and won the first half of the fight pretty clear.

To me he lost a close one.
