So you saying as soon as you reach the #1 spot is ok to go take the path of least resistance?
like manny pac has done..when floyd retired pac went for david diaz weakest at 135, oscar hadn't fought at 147 in 10 years, and hatton the weakest link at 140..so who are you talking about again

That was Pacs FIRST fight at 135.

Pac Jumped TWO weight classes to fight Oscar, ONE FIGHT after he already jumped UP a weight class.

And Hatton was undefeated at 140lbs.

Going into the Oscar fight was Pac the overwhelming favorite?

Hatton was the weakest link at 140 compare to who? Bradley is the only fighter that could be argued was better than Hatton. But, Hatton was the linear champ. Was he not? That is the same as Floyd fighting a bumdomir instead of Margarito. However, P4P Hatton was better than BUMdomir. And who is Pac fighting on Nov 14? Wait... Who are you talking about again???

I have been watching Toney fight for years and I will give him the credit he deserves. He is THE BEST 168-pounder-in-the-world-who-can-no-longer-fight-at-his-best-weight-because-he-is-too-lazy-and-undisciplined-to-keep-himself-in-shape-and-had-to-move-up-in-weight-constantly-until-he-reached-heavyweight-and-could-go-no-further.

If there were a division higher than heavyweight, James Toney would be fighting in it because he eats everything in site. By the time he retires, he will weigh 300 pounds.

Good point. In his first fight at 135, he deserved a soft touch. After all, Mayweather did the same thing. Wait a minute! I almost forgot. In Mayweather's only two fights at 135 he fought Jose Luis Castille, the best guy in the division. I guess you can't compare him to Mayweather afterall!

Hatton was better than Baldomir? Did you actually just say that? Floyd beat Baldomir by unanimous decision. Baldomir was never hurt. He knocked Hatton the **** out? How can a fighter who got KTFO be better than another guy who lost by decision to the same fighter?

And at 140lbs Floyd fought Corley, Brussles and Gatti... meanwhile Pacs first and ONLY fight at 140lbs he fought Hatton... who was undefeated in the division and the linear champion. So what's your point?

And since when did Floyd only fight twice at 135lbs?
