I know he was past it somewhat against Hurtado, but he was outboxed, not sure why he insisted on coming forward in that fight.

Doesnt take away the fact he was outboxed the whole fight, he had to have that to happen to win or else he loses and you never see the Oscar fight. I never said he didnt win, but was outboxed, never said he wasnt good coming forward but was better going backwards.

I agree, he was outboxed but I'd say he was definitely past his prime in that fight. He'd give Floyd a run for his money in his prime state, don't know about a win or not but it would be a tough fight regardless.

At times I wonder whether the only fight people have seen of Whitaker is the Hurtado fight. He could put on very effective pressure much like he does here against Harold Brazier, a very skilled opponent whom he completely shuts down:

No I did not know that. I watched it, don't remember them mentioning that. I do remember Whitaker saying that Tito's punches felt weird, that he never faced anyone with a punch like that. Yea I agree he was somewhat past it. I think he'd be nip and tuck with Floyd too and both would win or have debatable decisions if fought more than once.
