That also happens when you throw more than 20 punches a round: ie. generating some offense as opposed to taking a pot-shot and running like ****.

looking back at some Pernall Whitaker tapes I saw him fight Prime Oscar De La hoya and Prime Tito Trinidad and still look good. He also fought Julio Cesar Chavez.

sorry if i think that mayweather would beat him but mayweather is not going to end up punch drunk.
Typical tripe from a Fraud Gayweather nuthugger Don't you have a Floyd blow-up doll to shag or something?

I have to disagree with the TS, I'd say Mayweather and Whitaker were about equal in defense. Whitaker usually got dropped due to show boating but when he got serious, he didn't get hit at all. Also, Whitaker had a much better workrate and was better on the inside, stronger legs (See how he pushed DLH, McGirt, JCV, even Tito back) better body puncher also. What Mayweather has over Whitaker is speed, maybe accuracy and punchig power, Whiaker was slightly better in every other department.

pernell usually got dropped from having his feet lined up together not show boating but i agree with the equality in there defense.

if the floyd that fought castillio and corrales fought sweet pea then it would be close, anything else then that floyd would run, sweet pea had more power

Another thing, Whitaker had pop in his punches. Not as much as Floyd - who I think is underrated in that department - but he certainly made his opponents respect him. Chavez and Nelson are two examples of steel-chinned greats who were stopped in their tracks by Whitaker lefts and fought as if their opponent's power required respect.
