Pac should stay at 1 unless it's an ultra one sided beatdown. I mean 18 months ago could you see Pac fighting Cotto? This is literally like Mayweather going up to fight Abraham/Pavlik at 158 or something.

By default yes Floyd would be no 1 most likely but who cares the p4p rankings are just works of fiction anyway?

as a mayweather fan.. i say no
if cotto beats manny he should be number 1 pound for pound

        its only fair

mayweather beat marquez(smaller man) who was number 2

so if cotto beats pacquiao (smaller man) who is number 1, then why shouldnt he be number 1?

so if Joe Calzaghe comes back does he become P4P #2

I just wonder why ring put Floyd in no.2 rank p4p after his win with JMM. For me I think he should be in rank no.5 after that win.

But in order for him to be in rank 1 p4p he should atleast win another fight with top WW.

totally agree. if Cotto beat Manny he will be the p4p king. or maybe it only applies to Floyd?

yea and if that doesnt happen.. then it only shows how biased those pound 4 pound ratings are... sadly

If Pac losses to Cotto 'in an not so convincingly fashion' then why should he drop a spot? Pac is in a weightclass he does not belong and does not lose to Cotto convincingly then he should still be #1 right? Why drop cuz you dared to be great?

i dont think it matters. you took the fight, you lose, you drop in the ranking.
