What win could give him the hype he got right now?

Martinez should build his name up more, so if he does fight Paul Williams in the future and loses at least he would have a name to fall back on, and not some worthless belt.

He is about to turn himself into vivan harris.
You mean just like Pwill got schooled by a nobody in Quintana
wasnt he able to come back and make a name for himself?
    I think so

Win or lose, watch how VERY competitive this is gonna be. It might even warrant a rematch. I've always said 154 was Paul's for the taking; with Sergio Martinez being the only dude who can beat him.

"My guy has to be treated like a champion and not some second-class opponent." DiBella said.
        REALLY?

Well if he is no secondclass opponent, then I wonder where this first class opponent is scheduled to fight next?

"Martinez is scheduled to return on December 12 in a non-title ten round untelevised bout on the Malignaggi-Diaz undercard. "

        LMAO!!!

This is guy is fighting on the undercard of 2 fighters who faces couldnt be pointed out in a house full of chinese people.

Once again Why is Martinez rushing to end his career so damn early?

your posts of the fact that Pwill fought a known fighter in Winky Wright and there were but 4,000 people there to watch. You act like Pwill is a killer draw or something
he res isnt all that Horus.
50/50 and thats it. Neither brings a damn thing to the table.

Cause Martinez is never gonna be a mainstream attraction. Guys like him need to take any opportunity they can get, and a HBO WCB date against Williams is a big opportunity. He'd be insane to turn it down. 154 doesn't have much talent, and not that many people want to fight him so how else do you expect him to build his name?

It's sort of like Clottey....guys in his position gotta take short money for a big opportunity. If Martinez beats Williams, he's in a great position. If he loses, he's not in much of a different position than he is in right now.

60-40 Williams. Williams may not draw a big gate, but he is the one responsible for an HBO date, and that's bringing something to the table.

I agree with the fact neither is a house draw. Pwill and Martinez can't sell out the rec center let alone generate the dollars that Martinez wants. Pavlik is turning out to be another post Hopkins defect.

                      Horus,

To be fair... Martinez was chasing a fight with Vernon Forrest. God bless the dead, but Vernon didn't want it with Sergio.

Respect Sergio's hustle. Here is a guy who is trying to come up in his career. He is in a division with no names. But the dude is down to fight a guy that A LOT of people ain't trying to see.
