What sort of credit does Devin get becoming undisputed again at 147?

Devin was about to prove the haters wrong, by standing his ground for the first few rounds.
Then he immediately went back into the same old Devin Huggies Haney mode.

That's who he is. He can't fight thr same way as TC, Inoue, Usyk, and the other top guys...

Who did prograis beat that was elite ?

As for Ramirez hes trash like Commey the fraud. No shade. Both of these guys were B level fighters among C-D level fighters. None of them are great. They were just title holders.

Commey lost every time he stepped up.

but u said taylor gets the least credit for his undisputed with bud the most and devin if he does it the 2nd, which of their title unification opponents are great then?

for bud dulorme postol and indongo dont seem the hottest ticket in town either and lets not get started on haneys lot he might have lined up

indongo did nothing after bud, he lost to prograis next fight, postol lost to josh taylor 2 fights later & lost to ramirez later on as well & same with dulorme and his opponents

Yeah but one key difference there was that Fury was trying to use the clinch to lean on Usyk and tire him out, not just as a plea for the referee to break them. Haney holds on for dear life with his only aim being to get the ref to intervene. Another major difference is that Usyk was having no trouble pinning Fury down (understandable given the size of him), so it didn't have the same cat and mouse dynamic as a Haney fight.

That's the problem with fighting Haney, you spend so long trying to maneuver him into a vulnerable position so that you can enter punching range without letting him sting you with a jab and circle off, then when you finally do see an opportunity and take the risk, he immediately latches on like an octopus and the ref puts you back to square one. That's why it's hard to blame the guy who is coming forward and taking all the risks IMO, because he's essentially being cheated out of his payoff every time he successfully closes the gap and is in position to punch.

But I do agree that Usyk was well prepared for the clinch. Lomachenko too, when he fought Haney.

Norman jr. was really bad. Haney beat him like nothing.

Haney should just focus on fighting the other champions at 147, Rolly and Crocker are fights he wins by shut out.

Preferably if Garcia beats Barrios, get that rematch.

Other than that he's got Conor Benn for big money that I doubt he loses a round in.

Or, move up, where it likely get's tough for him.

Undisputed doesn't mean much to me these days unless you've beaten the best of the best in the division.

I care far more about matchups.

Benn ain't making 147, he's kidding himself. By the next time he fights it will have been four years since he made welterweight.

Haney will never get credit from the haters because it's a mix of the 2 worst fanbases in boxing, The Floyd/Haymon nuthuggers & The Canelo stans.
