Not a conspiracy but I think UK refs have a history of this. And you can still have a bad stoppage and Parker doing the mouth guard trick in an earlier round to buy more time to recover. Why not a standing count? Esp since Wardley had gassed himself out and was losing power in his punches. The ref literally jumped in when Parker was in least danger.

Ref stoppages like this only hurt the UK. A number of boxers already don't want to fight here and I don't blame them.

Howard 'the bulb' Foster always knows when a light is about to go out. He saved Parker's career. Parker is still a Top 15 guy. Would have been top dog in the 90s but HW's are just so good now. Nash out - His Majesty.

Corruption or not, this is EXACTLY what happened. The ref may or may not have made a bad call. Some say he didn't, most say he did. The fix may have been in, it may not have been. We don't know and it's practically impossible to know, and rather than make bold ass assumptions to make myself feel better, I'll just call it how I personally saw it: a questionable stoppage that neither you, I, or anyone who cares enough can change. I can say Parker should have done this or that as much as I can say the ref was a ponce for stepping in too quickly. Both can be true.

I think you're overreacting slightly, which is pretty common in the aftermath of fights.

im afraid surviving difficult times in the ring is part of boxing, u are allowed to get tired and go into a defensive mode to take a bit of a breather or try to make it through a difficult time in the ring, its not like u dont have options, take a knee, your corner can also throw in a towel if they are overly concerned, many times guys get through these situations and go on to win the fight especially if they are ahead and their opponent is also knackered, it almost always benefits the home or a side fighter as well

we know it was a bad call. thats not even up for debate. parker wasnt knocked out. you can stop any fight and pretend its a knockout, doesnt mean it was. now why did he do it? yeah some type of corruption and or blatant favoritism which is essentially the same thing especially when his livelihood/career/social status is on the line. he knows that its his job to help those a-side fighters win. maybe that is implicit or explicit but it doesnt matter. he plays his role. he does his job. he keeps getting reffing jobs and limelight and thats the way he likes it. he has no integrity or self respect. they use him and he uses them to boost his own life/career/etc...this is the same guy that watched dubois flop all over the ring against lerena and he never thought to stop it. he does not care about safety. that is a BS line that is given when they put their thumb on the scale in order to influence a fight in a certain way.

in fights like parker-wardley howard foster is a pacifist and doesnt want to see anyone slightly hurt...then again hes a masochist when dubois is down 3 times against lerena and i guess he just wants to see him punished? he has a very inconsistent way of reffing. its possible there are 2 howard fosters. i will look into it.

Joe is a class fighter who will get another big payday. Don’t worry about him. And when there are 15 belts in about a year he will be in the mix again. Everyone will

There's no standing 8 count in professional boxing and hasn't been in ages.

People complaining about the stoppage need to remember that in round 11 Parker sustained a nasty cut around his eye which was bleeding directly into the eye and causing him problems. At one point he actually temporarily stopped fighting to dab at the blood in his eye and was looking towards his corner - never a good sign. Howard Foster would've seen all of this, and taking the events of rounds 2 & 10 into consideration made a decision. Not being able to see with 100% vision against a brutal power puncher such as Wardley is extremely dangerous
