if i was a boxer like parker who has got up from knockdowns etc i would be furious if a ref stepped in while i will still on my feet, if i wanted to take a knee i could do that, early ref calls drive me a bit mad in this sport

Parker is a veteran of the sport. He should have grabbed and held Wardley when he was hurt, instead, he tried to duck and dodge, hoping Fabio would punch himself out. In the process, he took a few more shots, giving the ref the opportunity to make a judgement call and stop the fight. If Joe gets a rematch, hopefully he'll do things differently.
