    i think quite likely neither bud nor boots were that keen on the fight at all, bud unless he was getting paid very well for the boots fight i dont see him taking it, boots had plenty of time to mando himself to force the fight but did nothing and it looks like bud did try to get boots on blk where bud would have got a good fee but boots didnt jump on that one either, go talk to showtime they said & showtime said the offer was not that good and it went nowhere, not the actions of someone desperate for the bud fight to be honest, in fact the opposite

      It's crazy Tim - you've got Brandon Adams twice making Bohachuk look easier than Ortiz, then Ortiz making Madrimov look way easier than Crawford himself.

      And then there's Ennis ....who wasn't really able to one-up his own performance in the Karen rematch. There was no reason to make that rematch other than for Ennis to improve on the first showing and he wasn't able to do it.

      He'll make Vergil look easy though- ok maybe

      Make the fight.

            Espinoza said that there was a discussion, but it never moved beyond lip service.

              bud only had a 1 fight deal with blk so reaching out AFTER 2022 when the avan fight was over and the deal over is not possible?

              The whole thing is rather confusing, but it's pretty much a moot point now anyway. Crawford is @168 and Boots just moved up to 154. Bud is 38 and Jaron is 28. The discussion at this point should be about Boots vs someone young and tops in his division, like Ortiz, Fundora, Murtazaliev, Baraou, Madrimov or Zayas.

                  [QUOTE=SUBZER0ED;n32540779]

                  Boots said he wasn't ready and that he needed a tuneup before facing Ortiz. That's not a duck. And now that Ennis says he's ready for Ortiz, you say that he doesn't deserve that fight because he "ducked" him? Are you a fight fan or not? And as for Crawford, Bud turned down Boots in '23. Ennis said yes but was never presented with a contract.

                  id eventually like to see them fight, but i doubt it happens without a belt. Hopefully Ennis will have found his balls by then. Whole lot of talk with that guy, yet even more excuses.

                  Sorry, but Ennis Daddy said they turned it down. Thats on youtube.

                    When he was in line for a shot at Bud Crawford’s WBO title at 147 as well. You never mention this fact; Why? Boots ducked Crawford. We get that but so did Ortiz.

                    He left the WBO rankings in order to petition the other sanctioning bodies for a shot at Errol Spence, Jr Instead.
                    Why? Is it because it doesn’t fit your narrative?
                    And what'd he do with that ibf ranking? Nothing.

                    enlighten me when Ortiz ducked Crawf. Never heard about, read about or saw anything about it. The Bootsy stuff has been documented. And Bootsys daddy is on film saying they turned Bud down.

                      That is not what I've heard. It has been reported that according to former WBO president Paco Valcarcel. Ortiz dodged a couple of fights with Crawford. In an interview with The Boxing Voice Podcast, Vergil Ortiz was offered an opportunity to face WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford on two occasions and the Ortiz camp elected to go in a different direction instead of accepting the offers. Look it up.
