I don't think highly of Dubois at all, so I wasn't moved much by Usyk's wins over him.

I also think it's reasonable to have Usyk over Inoue, I just don't agree.

There's a clear drop off after the top 3. Bam is #4 but he's several levels below the top 3.

All the best fighters in the world say Bud.

Usyk, Bivol, Beterbiev, Shakur Stevenson have all said Bud's the guy.

TC victory over Canelo is pretty significant and there is a case for the #1 spot but Usyk stint at the historical and always important Heavyweight division has been equally impressive as dominant, let me add the activity as a fighter. Bud basically fighting once a year. Lets not even talk about Canelo evident steep decline to not discredit Buds most important win to date. Tc needs more activity.

so does Usyk he's been at heavyweight almost 7 years, he's had 8 fight with 5 different opponents.

Based on the original format . Not today’s theme of weight hopping & the colour of their trunk’s . I’ll go with Opetaia or Benavidez .

The top 3 are all worthy, For me though it comes down to "what have you done for me lately?"

Inoue is defending at least 3 times a year compared to 1 a year bud & 1 every 9 months Usyk. Usyk whilst being amazing has beaten 3 big heavy slow over rated golems at heavyweight, Bud has just beaten golem Canelo, car wreck Spence & Madrimov in what? 3 years?

Inoue reminds me of the past, taking on the best for the belts between fighting mandatories regularly & like Loma above his natural weight.

Bud will dump a belt rather than fight a mandatory.
                Usyk is stalling out Parker.
                Inoue "next".

“and Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury both represented more difficult opposition than Saul Alvarez did by the time Crawford fought him.”

I disagree. Anthony Joshua is a hypejob who has been slept by Andy Ruiz and Daniel Dubois.

Tyson Fury went life and death with a UFC fighter.

For my money it is Terence Bud Crawford. He’s the best P4P fighter in the world. It’s an easy decision when it comes right down to it.

Usyk’s best win came over Tyson Fury. Crawford’s best win came over Canelo. Among Tyson Fury and Saul Alvarez which has the better resume’?

Usyk is number 1. Not just the heavyweight champion, but number 1. THE champion of all of boxing. THE Lineal Champion (there's only one). It doesn't get said enough in the age of weight classes every few pounds.

P4P is fantasy stuff and far less relevant, but I'd again go for Usyk. Weight classes are arbitrarily created - but he's beating guys who outsize him massively. No-one else is doing that. Not even close.
