You can't please everyone. It's simple. You just can't. No one is ever truly satisfied.

Online discourse skews negative for just about everything imo, not just boxing. No idea why. Maybe its just easier to generate conversation by talking ****.

This is choreographed greatness and the afro americans and casuals are lapping it up putting him above past way more deserving fighters
Good points for sure. Canelo certainly overrated and protected with set ups and hired patsies. Crawford beat a shell of a fraud and has now been installed to goatness. If he ducks Alimkhanuly your analysis is strongly supported. Alimkhanuly is the only real fight out there for Bud right now, everything else is business

At any given time during his peak there were probably a couple thousand professional heavyweight boxers in the world, at most only a handful were better than him. That puts him better than 99%

If he won because his size and reach, then I guess thats a factor that allows someone to win boxing matches, doesnt make him any less because of it. We don't get to say that only fighters who win the ways we like get to be good, as long as he won within the rules then it counts.

And yes he was athletic, he had excellent strength, speed, and body composition, all of which counts towards athleticism.
He fought bums and when he finally stepped up he was taken to school and given ungodly beatings

Fury was a shell of himself in the first fight with the massive lay off and weight loss

You seriously think Wilder was some sort of legend in boxing???

Hes was a manufactured champion and all the hype the media built up around him was for money making reasons nothing else.

People still think Fury beating Wilder was up there with Ali beating Foreman are just imbeciles.

Are you being serious? Are you just straw manning me to mess around? You understand the premise of this thread right, and have read my posts?

Where did I imply he was "some sort of legend"?

The idea of this thread is how boxing fans complain that top tier boxers, "suck". And how they whine about the best fighters in the world. One poster argued that Wilder '******', to which I pointed out at his prime he was better than 99% of the active heavyweights in the world.

Explain to me how that means I was implyig he was a legend?

So just to clarify, during his prime you feel that there were 40+ active heavyweights who would consistently beat Wilder in the ring if they fought?

The simpletons you are responding to are incapable of any sort of nuanced discussion. I suggest putting them on ignore.
