Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley are grateful rather than hateful ahead of October 25 fight

Rather than hate, or even dislike, the feeling that unites Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley ahead of their October 25 heavyweight clash in London appears to be gratitude, writes Elliot Worsell.

It sounds like Parker is a fighter who is only in wars and action packed fights. I remember him being in several "boring" fights in which he failed to step on the gas and or showed a lack of desire.

I always liked him as a person but the recent hype around him is a little bit insane. He beat two guys that are completely shot in Zhang and Wilder and honestly he did not look good against them not at all.
His last win against Bakolie looks solid on paper but lets be honest this fight should never have taken place. I'm not convinced that Parker is a new and best version ever. Would have loved to see Kabayel vs Parker and the winner fights Usyk

      **** on.

Parker is the most over hyped boxer right now.

People seem to have forgotten that just recently he was absolutely demolished by JOE JOYCE, and beaten by Derek Chisora!

He's got a level, but it's not at the top.

No one knew Wilder and Zhang were shot until Parker exposed them and no one was keen to find out either.

Once Parker beat them - easily over the distance - people be like, 'oh they were shot and if piss poor Parker can beat them, anyone can'.

The Mighty Oilskin shattered their and Bakole's boogeyman auras and relegated them to the phantom zone.

The thing is, can anyone expose Parker ? Plenty have tried few have succeeded, just one actually Prime Juggernaut vs an out of form Oilskin.

The other 2 losses to Brit fighters have huge asterisks beside them with both fighters ducking a rematch. And if those rematches took place, Parker would ether them too!

A decent fight. I think Parker has way more to lose, but honestly if he felt the Usyk match was not coming his way then this makes sense. Make some money, up the pressure if you win to get the title match he has kind of earned.

Parker has earnt a title shot the good ol fashioned way, minus the hype and hoopla.

You seem to have forgotten that after Joyce and Chisora Parker beat Wilder, Zhang and Bakole or that JOE JOYCE was in prime juggernaut mode and that in the rematch with Chisora, Parker obliviated him.

As far as most hyped ? That'll be the pumped up 20 yr old pup MoSuss that the camel racing desert turkey would love to grease up and spitroast.

Yeah, but that's why the Parker-Dubois fight got made. He was going to take the fight he needed, seemed everyone was on board.

Really, Usyk-Dubois II is the fight that shouldn't have taken place.

Still dealing with that aftermath if you ask me.
