I think it will be a very aggressive countering match. Cotto shouldnt chase Pac, as Pac is too fast and elusive. I think he'll lure Pac in and try to catch him with well timed shots.
I still think darting in and out is Mannys best bet. Hes fast enough to not get hit IMO.
david diaz hit pac plenty of times, so will cotto. its ludicrous to think pac will not be hit by cottos combinations if manny does not have enough power to hurt cotto he is done.

Many people is understimating Pacquiao smartness in the ring and Cotto better try to finishing in the first round because if not it will be an incremental problem for him as Pacquiao will start to figure him out and time him.

The other point is the this is not not your traditional fight one vs one, here you have one vs two, because unlike Cotto that merely will have a trainer in his corner, Pacquiao and Roach are like only one entity and Roach will be right there looking at every bit of detail that Manny cant see and round after round Roach is going to input the right data into his boxing robot to execute in every 3 minute rounds. At the end expect Cotto to be overhelmed with punches and Many an Roach resulting to be too much for him alone.

My prediction: Pacquiao by late stoppage.

Pac did this with DLH, and pulling the trigger is impossible when speedy+stinging punches disrupt you. although he's a different fast handed warrior than before, he is one for the better in a division that could knock him the **** out if he isnt.

The way pac was competitive against Barrera, Morrales, and Marquez is another reason hell win. These guys (barrera and marquez in particular) might not have had the power cotto had, but they were more skilled. having these fights to look back on will help.

I just hope pac comes to LA already and picks it up a notch because all of this theory talk is **** if hes not 100%. thats how much of a step up beating cotto requires.
See, that's what I think people don't get. If Pacquiao just goes in and out, eventually Cotto's going to time him and catch him. He knows how to adapt in a fight. When Pac gets in trouble he brawls, that's just his style. The illusion I think people have is Cotto being shot or too slow and Pacquiao just overwhelming Cotto. But how much of that is reality? Last year people would say you're crazy to set up a fight Cotto and Pacquiao. But Pac beats Oscar and Hatton and Cotto has a tough fight with Clottey and now it's a no brainer for Pacquiao? I mean, if a lot of people sit back and think twice this is exactly how they're thinking without admitting it.

I don't think Pac will go for the ko ala kamikaze as he did with other opponents. He'll give Cotto problems, again with his speed, but will be limiting his combinations to 3 or 4 punches then get away as quick as possible because Roach knows Pac can't trade with Cotto when he realizes Cotto can take Pac's punches.

If the ko opportunity comes, Pac will gladly take it but I don't think he'll trade with Cotto on the inside. That will be his downfall.

I'd take Pac by UD or late stoppage.

Pacquiao opens up when doing that also so I expect Cotto to meet him with a jab everytime he tries it and that will pretty much destroy Pacquiao momentum and force him to change his plan of attack.

In the end Pacquiao will be forced to fight toe to toe and Cotto will have him right were he wants him.

                  +1

If Cotto can walk right true Pacquiao's punches like he did against Mosley Pacquiao has 0 chance to win the fight because Cotto is going to go at Pacquiao with non stop pressure.

People need to ask themselves who hits harder?

                  Mosley or Pacquiao?

Mosley is a bigger puncher than Pacquiao and is not even close.

I'm rooting for Pac to crush Cotto's fucking cheek bone because I'm tired of people like you releasing training pics of him every five minutes acting infatuated with him like 1950s teenage girls do with Elvis at one of his concerts.

Hatton is an overrated bum with no skills and doesn't even have a jab or timing skills like Cotto.

How can you even bring his name in this discussion is beyond me.
