I'm hoping for an upset, and heavyweight boxing has a habit of delivering them. We've seen young fighters stepped up against older experienced men in the past and having to endure a reality check. It would be great if this was one of those occasions. And it would set up a Parker-Whyte rematch, which I'd love to see. I think Parker deserves the opportunity to reverse that loss.

I have not made a pick yet, so my jynx has yet to be applied. But I am starting to find myself rooting for Whyte, which is crazy. I like Itauma, but the way he is being anointed as the heir apparent without a serious test on his resume is starting to rub me the wrong way. Do not get me wrong, at 20 years old his resume is fine. Being brought along by his team properly and I love to see it. But come on folks, everyone he has destroyed should have been destroyed. Throw in that Whyte has got maybe the 2nd best resume in HW boxing in this generation (second only to the ultimate boxing warrior Mr. Chisora), I would not be upset with a big win for Whyte.
Like most everyone above me says... very interesting fight.

If Dillian is in shape that makes it competitive. A trained, ripped Dillian is not easy money for anyone in the heavyweight division.Willow The Wisp likes this.

in fact, while I’m sure he would have won, I think Usyk would have found a Dillian in shape to be more of a problem than DDD. iMO Dillian could always beat DDD. His skills are better and he is more mentally robust.Willow The Wisp likes this.

Whyte is vastly underrated. He should have been WBC champ for years but Wilder ducked him and rigged the WBC to block mandatory Whyte because he knew it was a guaranteed loss. Whyte is underestimated. Then Fury tried like hell to duck him but was forced into it and needed a lucky uppercut to beat him. Itauma better be ready for life and death, this will be a profound test for him. If he passes decisively, we know Itauma is the next one.
