So all three are all averaging around the same number.

This trend is about bringing boxing back to its average American popularity and that has to start with the youth not with these current fighters. We need local fighters and honestly we need more competitive white fighters. Thats really my topic.
Claressa Shields is exponentially more famous than Alycia Baumgardner.

Let me know when documentaries & major motion pictures are made about Alycia Baumgardner.

For your Argument ok. Fine it helped her.

Now how does this help american boxing today when most people do not watch pro boxing let alone ameture boxing?
Plenty of much better looking fighters than Claressa Shields & you know that.

NONE of them outside of Laila Ali, who was Ali's daughter have made the money Shields has coming into the sport.

Her first fight was one the undercard of Ward/Kovalev. That's how it helped her

She came into the sport making more money the 99% of the women in boxing because of The Olympics.

And yes, it HELPS American boxing because it gives them a LAUNCHING PAD towards fame.

It's done that for 70-80 years.

Being an Olympic champion is one of the best things you can do to sign to a big promoter or get on people's radar.

In the average non boxing fan eyes they would be in the same category of popularity of less than noticeable.

Now Alycia if she did only fans or playb0y it would be wrap.

            That's not true at all.

When has Alycia had a major motion picture made about her life story?

When has she been profiled on "Good Morning America" & won an ESPY award?

When has she won a Nickelodeon "Kids Choice" Award?

I'm sorry, you're just completely off base here.

Why would I care if she did have a movie ? I wouldnt watch it. I didn't watch shields movie lol.

Why would I care if shes on good morning America? I dont watch good morning America lol.

Why would I care about nickelodeon? I dont have kids lol.

All those things have nothing to do with the average American no longer watching or supporting boxing. She can get 10 awards she will not be known by the average American.

Go to the white part of your town and ask them. Go online and post a video clip. Go do it. She is not well known to the average population.

OK another cop out. Location & demographics is very important in business operations, marketing and development.

Now i know you are lair. Because you are arguing with your emotions. Thats why you haven't provided any proof to any of your claims.

You say Shakur is big in the "hood" and then you are saying just because shields was on the breakfast club shes known to the average Americans ( which she isnt).

So I know you are black ( maybe a tether) and most likely from the east coast. Probably in a city thats culturally diverse with a high minority population.

Thats why you side step my statement when I said I doubt white people in your STATE know Stevenson or Shields but know other pass boxers because they appealed to all Americans and not just the urban crowd.

The average American isn't in the hood, listen to hot 97, watch good morning America ( I sure dont), watched shields movie or know atleast 5 of her opponents. Shes more popular than mosr female boxers because there's no othe popular female boxers between her Ali that are American and the average American knows. Amanda Serrano isnt even known to the average American.

So Raw lied about being from Pennsylvania. Now another person will not reveal where they are from ?

Yet on here on a AMERICAN boxing trend. when half of these American fighters are not known in America to average Americans.

I never seen a Stevenson or Shields on a tv commercial in America but Canelo got three beer commercials during NFL Sunday. Then mike Lee got subway.

So we got a white Hispanic boxer on tv and a white American on tv but non of the elite black boxers cant land one prime time commercial?

Hes talking big about Shields but no commercial from the gold medal Olympic winner? Shes so popular? Come on now.

Thats black peoples problem they will not see how that urban culture ruined their brand for big money. Hagler, Leonard were big American icons everyone liked Hagler, Leonard and Hearns they were everywhere.

After them black American fighters stopped being marketable to American media now thats the issue and also lack of white boxers.

We need grass roots boxing again.

We got #1 Texas vs #3 Ohio State. I bet millions of Americans are watching. Let's see if we see a Crawford vs Canelo commercial. Turki got the money right?
