Let's fix Boxing In America with organizational development

As someone who has spent a long time working in high school athletics, I just don't see this as being feasible. Its a pain to introduce a new sport in a HS and get it run properly, let alone one with the inherent dangers of boxing. Finances are slowly eating away at the HS athletics model as it currently stands and I wouldn't be surprised to see many sports more falling into the club model within the next 30 years or so.

It was Just an easy example suggestion. Of course there are high school club teams. Just like swimming. There's high school swim teams that take players from multiple high-schools and compete in different leagues. In my middle school it was the same for basketball.

Boxing could work in the same context that yes they can be of high school age but its actually the Town, Township, County or even District that is funding the program and schools are not directly financially tied to it.

Also private schools also have their own endowment they could pull from or support other independent boxing programs for their students to go to.

Some YMCA also support basketball leagues for high school kids who didnt make Varsity or JV basketball. Boxing is cheap to house and support for the YMCA.

Colleges who drop sports are usually colleges that dont gain financial incentives for their programs. In the north east where football is not as dominant. Boxing could bring in money to smaller colleges that can support boxing in a community were boxing is popular. Long Island, 5 Burroughs, Boston, Massachusetts, hartford , CT, Rhode Island and New Jersey.

Also Jersey and Pennsylvania is a major hub for college and high school wrestling. $$$

Remember this is just an informational idea to kick around to help make boxing better. Its informal.

Of course its grass roots. Of course starting out all 50 states will not be able to participate in this boxing program we might have to start out with the states that can funnel this type of program examples Florida, Texas, California, Nevada, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and etc.

Suggested minimum age limit - 17.

This places people around the same age of most JV sport teams in America. 17 is two years younger than the boxing Olympics minimum age of 19.
The minimum age to join the US military is 17 with parental consent, or 18 without consent.

Right now, it is more likely that they will put a tarrif on broadcasting foreign fights; additional taxes on Mexican, Cuban, and British boxers fighting in the US; and a total ban on Usyk, Bivol, and Zhang.
