I think you know the reason why though- Marciano was younger than Joe Louis, head-to-head he only beat an older Joe Louis. Calzaghe was younger than RJJ, head-to-head he only beat an older RJJ. But Floyd was older than Pacquiao, head-to-head he beat the younger man.

Now, obviously there are some flaws with that logic (and I am not writing I agree with it) but I think it shows the material difference with Floyd v Manny and the other two cases cited. As I wrote, I don't agree with it- the flaw being that both were past their prime so all it showed was that head-to-head an old Floyd was better than an old Manny. Except that so many fans cite hanging on past ones prime and getting late career wins as a noteworthy accomplishment and add that to a fighters column.

Yes, I checked boxrec and wikipedia, the win stands. Wasn't overturned because of bad shoulder, or IV fluids, or controversial devision.
So yeh, floyd on paper beat pac. But Floyd's supposed to beat pac. Pac is smaller, shorter arms, shorter height, more wear and tear with longer career and way more fights under belt.

Haymon and Floyd controlled USADA Travis Tygart and it was highly probably they would have rigged a phony positive test to frame Pac. But Pac sued the little coward for defamation, won the case and a nine figure settlement. Cowardweather used the drug testing as one of his many escape hatches to duck Pac for six years. Showtime CBS head Les Moonves finally forced Cowardweather to fight Pac and the drug testing was not a factor anymore. It's just too bad Floyd was allowed to duck Pac for six years.
