Actually AJ is 35 so he should be good for a few more years if he can get his head straight maybe
It's ok to fight past your prime a bit, and usyk past prime he can still win and best parker, ajit and retirement fight with ajagba in ukraine.
which would take usyk to 40 years old.
That's good age to disappear into moonlight

We were all desperate for an Undisputed champion. And for the best fighters to fight each other and stop protecting their 0.

The promoters got slated for not making it happen. Then Turki came along and changed everything. We got a whole bunch of risky fights and we got an Undisputed champion. Twice.

What the promoters knew was that the chase was always the exciting bit. AJ and Wilder, AJ and Fury, Fury and Wilder, Usyk and Fury... Heavyweight boxing was on fire.

Now we're down to challengers like Kabayel and Parker lining up for Usyk and the excitement has gone. Some of the other contenders have been eliminated along the way.

Turki isn't obligated to bid for this fight. It does nothing for Saudi's image and won't bring in much. I doubt it would even be a sellable PPV.

But will the fighters accept the kind of purse bids they'll get when Turki has withdrawn completely from the fight? The Saudi's have changed boxing - and we might not like what happens next.

Let Parker offer Usyk the money to rival what Usyk got against Dubois or Fury. Otherwise, Usyk may choose to vacate the belt, and Parker can fight the next-ranked WBO contender or maybe Dubois. I doubt Frank will make Itauma vs Parker, but Itauma vs Usyk might be possible if Turki pushes for it. First, let's see who he does against Whyte.

I mean... look at the country he hails from, lol. This is what happens when someone claims supreme power over everything that is within their borders. Turki is the entertainment handler with a lot of money, but his direct report is the prince. He's not going to go off and pretend he's creating some kind of democracy within the sporting business. He wants full control and if giving us some breadcrumbs to get his hand in it all was part of the plan, he might be looking for full takeover soon.

Meet the new boss same as the old boss.... it's human nature.

So far the illusion is that he is producing the fights that sell the sport the best, that excite the fans the most. Parker is not going to beat Usyk. But young Itauma is a wildcard now, he may be able to shock the world. That is the more appealing event. I read that Turki wants that fight next. Parker is a nice story and all but he's boring and hit his peak. He deserves the shot like Archie Moore did vs Marciano but he has no chance. If Turki is trying to make Fury vs Usyk 3 for his pal Fury then he will lose all credibility.

                Turki is beyond casual.

Not interested in Canelo -Benavidez, Bivol- Benavidez, Usyk -Parker.

But interested in Canelo -Crawford, Usyk -Fury 3, Usyk -Itauma, Fury - Joshua.

Sounds like a business decision, but you'd think any fighter taking on Usyk would be lucrative for them. I hope Usy gives Parker his shot even though it would mean less money. I'd reach out to make the fight in Britain again, the Brits love boxing and he gets a warm reception there. Wherever he fights will sell out.

Exactly, legacy doesn't pay the bills. And if a fighter is looking at a 30 million dollar payday against one fighter and a 10 million dollar payday against another fighter, he's going with the higher amount.

Plus legacy usually goes hand in hand with money, rarely do inferior fighters command more money than superior fighters. The Fury and AJ fight made the most money because both Fury and AJ at the time were atop of the hill of boxing.
