It's much less deep than that. Mayweather fights don't have much rewatch value to me.
I'm generally not into defensive US fighters who fight all their fights in the US with a US referee, with Hopkins being an exception.Comment

Nailed it but froid was most likely on steroids. Also Hilarious considering how his fans say "he a smol welterwait doe" and he couldn't even make the catch weightIt wasn't that good. They had a catch weight of 144lbs which was to help Marquez since he was still 135lbs. He was only able to get up to 142lbs at that time. Yet that didn't matter to Floyd as he didn't even make the weight. He weighted 146lbs. So you got a guy who came in bigger against an untested guy at 144lbs. Marquez had hip fat... There was zero surprise that he was going to win...
At the point of Marquez facing Pac at 147lbs, he was SHREDDED. Whatever it took to get that, but at least you know now that he was ready for that weight class. I'm not saying a 147lbs shredded Marquez would have beat Floyd either, but it would of been a hella lot more impressive.
Floyd basically did what Ryan Garcia did to Haney, except hopefully without the roids.Comment

Because they accused broner of cherrypicking Paulie lmfao idiotOriginally posted by paulf
Which is what Roberto Duran, Shane Mosley, Adrian Broner and countless others have also done.
Its pretty common.
No one accused Paul Malignaggi of cherry picking Adrian Broner.Comment

Right proves my point he didn't jump up to fight the guy at 147 which was OscarOriginally posted by paulf
Mosley defended his 135 title for the last time against John Brown and then fought Wilfredo Riviera at 147 in his next fight.
What about Duran

What the fvkc are you on about?Originally posted by paulf
That's exactly my point - it's a cherrypick if its a fighter you don't like.
Floyd was the cherrypicker for fighting a guy moving up two weight classes.
but then Broner was the cherrypciker moving up two weight classes to fight Malignaggi.
Zero logic, just emotions.
Broner was a big boy who had missed weight so he moved up and right away got a shot at the weakest beatable champ
Froid was a proven talent who picked a smaller beatable opponent as well as not even making weight. Moron
So don't got anything to say paulf ??Last edited by Grandma Lover; 07-26-2025, 08:57 PM.Comment
