Miranda is fighting at 168lbs Thursday night in a 12 round fight for some belt. He says this is the ideal weight for him as long as he stays in shape in between fights. Weight was not an issue against Ward at 168lbs either.

No, seriously. Please stop. How is Oganov a name? What has Oganov done in the sport? Just because someone gets a TV spot, and you remember their name doesn't make them a quality fighter.

      Who has Oganov ever beaten?

...and the ONLY reason we know Hanshaw's name is because he fought RJJ.

Let's face it. And be honest with yourself. Oganov/Hanshaw have zero credentials. Stop yourself.

I don't like triangulation theories, but here goes: Some of you guys are promoting Sakio Bika, and that's fine. Anyone who saw The Contender knows that Jaidon and Sakio had a GREAT fight. What happened with Jaidon and Green?

NO, guys. The ones who are saying that Miranda knocked out Green are wrong. They had a good fight, where Green lost a decision. And Green was out of his best weight. And sick. The guy had MAJOR surgery a couple of months later.

Allan Green is by no means some monster. I'm not saying that. But some of you are talking like he is a scrub, and he is NO WORSE than the Americans in S6.

I agree. I like Allan Green and I cannot understand the opposition here. He may not have been a good pick for super 6, but he makes a great alternate or stand in. He also just may create some noise in it as his left hook is one to be reckoned with.

I didn't saw Oganov was a great name, I just said he was as good or better than anyone on Green's resume. And Hanshaw was undefeated before losing to Jones, and had some decent names on his resume as well (Ikeke, Camou, Mendy). Oganov and Hanshaw obviously aren't great fighters; neither even contended for a legitimate title. But they stack up well with anyone on Green's resume.

As for your Bika/Codrington/Green triangulation theory, remember that Green had almost twice as many professional fights as Jaidon when they fought. It was a fantastic KO but 1)triangle theories are ****, and 2)Codrington had another 10 fights under his belt before he fought Bika. He was more experienced by that time and maybe his survival skills were better. Regardless, the end result was the same in both fights - a KO loss for Codrington.

It's really quite simple. If Green ever wants people to forget his loss to Miranda, he will have to avenge it. Any fighter worth his salt wants to avenge a loss, especially his first one, especially if he thinks he wasn't at 100%. Whether it's now or two years from now, this is the fight everyone wants to see Green in, except for Green. Why is that?

Codrington has hung up the gloves and is a cop in his hometown.

If anyone gets JT's spot it should be Sakio Bika(edit) who is MIA.
Second up should be Lucian Bute. I still feel he should have gotten taylors spot.
In all honesty though Showtime will put in a bum american before they put in another foreigner. Real talk.

He knows he can't beat Miranda. I also think Bika would've beaten him too if the fight happened. He just wants a free pass to the big time. He is what you would call a free loader and a leap frogger.

I think they should drop the 'fight Miranda' nonsense and just put Green in there. If anything, at least he'd be another US fighter that the Euros can hate on. =P

Great points, but from what I have seen I am going to say when Green performs at this best he could potentially beat any of the GOOD not great SMWs in the world. He has good over all skill, is a big lanky SMW, considerably fast, and has power too. He does have a shakey chin though and could get clipped by a puncher like AA and put to sleep. He should have to beat someone decent to get in the tourney if JT is going out, and it would be great if that opponent could be Miranda.
