Miranda has Goossen. We will see in 3 days how well they work together. If we a much improved fighter, then I think Showtime should jump on this rematch.

Oganov and Hanshaw are better names than anyone Green has beaten.

AND Dirrell doesn't have a loss to Edison Miranda, who two other tournament contestants have beaten.

Fighting Miranda is probably not an issue for him. But fighting anyone period opens the possibility of getting injured, sidelined etc and losing out on a huge opportunity.

It sucks but if I was in Green's shoes, I would do the exact same thing.
Unfortunately Green has little control in this situation and has to walk through the doors he is given. Showtime has no legal obligation to him at this point and he would be foolish to snub them given the opportunity they are still willing to give him if he can prove his worth in the ring.

He had an opportunity to show his mettle against Tarvis Simms and fought with a sense of confusion and lack of urgency. I wouldn't take issue with Showtime for pulling a "Well Allan, you won that fight, BUT..." in this situation. I just don't agree that the "BUT" here needs to be Edison Miranda. The ONE thing that could accomplish is to prove that Green's only loss was a fluke.

You have been pulling out of fights, looked horrible in your last bout, you have defeated no one with a name and now you don't want to avenge your only loss to Miranda cause you're scared ****less.

How did showtime even thought of you its a ****ing mystery itself, you should be priviledge they even thought of your nameless name to begin with ya moron, screw this idiot get Miranda or let Jermain continue we don't need this paper boxer on this fine tournament.

So it is Showtime that is requesting this? If so then he has no choice. I thought it was just Goossen throwing it out there.

The way I see it, Showtime can do what they want. There are no contracts with anyone to enter the tournament. They have done a kick ass job so far with the Super Six and I hear the ratings were amazing.

Next month they have the last of the first round fights with no undercard to mention. It would make great sense for them to add a fight people want to see against two top rated SMW that are willing and able to enter.

If Goossen can make the changes that people have been saying for years need to be made. The changes that Bonilla couldnt make happen. If we see a new Pantera on Thursday night, then Miranda/Green is a perfect fight for this undercard.

It would make no sense for Showtime just to allow someone to walk into JT's place without having to earn it in front of the world.

If Green isn't willing to fight for a place in the tourney then pit Miranda against Sakio Bika..

Yep. I'm sure he underwent major surgery and had several feet of his intestines/colon removed just so he could have an excuse.

                  Green is tricky like that.

The biggest question of all though is Miranda able to make 168 and actually be healthy. His weight has been steadily climbing.
