Green always ALWAYS finds a way to screw himself out of opportunities, and here he is again, running his mouth without doing anything in the ring to back it up. If he wants to prove he is worty, then he should do it in the ring. Instead he is arguing that Taylor, Ward, and Dirrell didn't do anything to be there, so why should he have to? What a terrible, unsportsmanlike attitude. Not to mention all three Americans in the tournament have bigger wins than he does.

Taylor has wins over Hopkins and a draw with Wright. That career so far looks like it ****s on Greens period Green has KO/TKO loss to Miranda!!!

What wins does Dirrell have that are bigger?

Why put Miranda in this tournament? He clearly lost to 2 fighters who are already in the tournament, ward and abraham, since his loss to pavlik he's been unable to take himself to the next level, He's fighting for the nabo title in a couple of days lets see how he does there first. Miranda has not been impressive, he looked horrible vs ward, he doesn't fight smart especially in the abraham fight..Green even tho he was sick the miranda fight has got himself back on track. Travis Simms would of gave any fighter trouble, he got a very slick style, very hard to hit, the guy was underfeated, Green did enough to win the fight..Green has the power to give anybody problems in this tournament.....

It has nothing to do with being afraid of Miranda at all. To Green this is the opportunity of a lifetime. It also means some good pocket change. If he has an open door it makes sense to walk through that door directly.

Fighting Miranda is probably not an issue for him. But fighting anyone period opens the possibility of getting injured, sidelined etc and losing out on a huge opportunity.

It sucks but if I was in Green's shoes, I would do the exact same thing.

Miranda is most likely shot and needs to try to rebuild his career slowly. He does not belong anywhere near the Super 6 right now or Green for that matter. He needs about 3-4 easy fights to gauge him. They are just trying to milk him for whatever name he has left I'm afraid.

I'd say Dirrell's resume is no worse than comparable to Green's. Oganov and Hanshaw are on par with DeLeon and Ravelo. The rest is a wash, and Dirrell looked a hell of a lot better (competitively speaking) in his loss to Froch than Green did against Miranda.

Green also questioned Ward's credentials, which IMO is putting his foot in his mouth. Take away Miranda and their resumes are a wash. Add Miranda... you get the idea.

Sure, there's an excuse for why Green lost to Miranda... and why he looked like crap against Simms... and why he almost got knocked out by Donnie McCrary. That's what you gotta love about Green - there's an answer for everything.
