    Ahhhhhhhh, Yup.

You lay down with dogs You wake up with fleas.

If the WBA title holds meaning to you, so too do their ratings and policies. ...And history!

    Lol. What a mess.

But still; the guy keeps training, fighting and winning under the only had to hand combat rules that pay well; and he's drawing in the fans. That's the reality.

Could LeBron James or Carlos Alcaraz or Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes or Mo Salah or Scottie Scheffler do what Jake Paul has done?

I doubt it. Not tough enough.

I respect Jake for bringing eye balls to the sport, but his career has mostly been a lucrative joke if there ever was one. He's literally making crazy millions, but the fights have been farces.

Let's look at his tactics. Pick on a non-boxer and win, sometimes looking incredible. Pick a dinosaur boxer, whether nearing 60 or nearing 40 and who had not fought in years. Or pick a young boxer with low punching power (Tommy Fury) and take an L because despite the lack of power, enough boxing ability to outpoint Jake.

So if he were to face a ranked opponent, arguably one that isn't so far out of their prime, he's going to deal with actual boxing ability, plus maybe some power. Depends who he faces. I'm not sure that will spell good for him.

the guy at number 15 has 20 wins 20 KOs, 100% KO ratio. Its against all bums but still. He would spark Paul out so how did paul get ranked ahead of him? he beat a guy 40 lbs above his best weight division.

Talking about the history of the WBA ... you said you were in the arena when Ali fought Jerry Quarry in a tune up for his world title challenge against Frazier.

When The Fight Of The Century happened, do you remember Ali, as the challenger, walking out and being introduced first, and Joe then being introduced as, "the HW champion of the world"?

Do you remember what titles Joe was defending against Ali in that fight?

I found his email address on the ABC website and sent him a polite email. He responded quickly asking I call so we setup a call for the next day and we spoke briefly via WhatsApp which allows one to dial international for free. I drew his attention to the WBA's broken promises following the dressing down Mazzulli gave them following the Maestre - Fox scandal. He said he would speak to Mendoza.

If we had a proper boxing media rather than imbeciles with smartphones looking for 'content' then this kind of thing could be pressed much further.

The only thing I’m shocked about is that it wasn’t the WBC that ranked him first. Honestly though, let one of the real ranked guys get a good payday by fighting him, and they’ll also beat him and maybe that will put an end to this.

The rise of the basement level independent boxing "journalist", too scared to ask probing questions or push back against lies fed to them by sanctioning orgs, promoters, fighters, etc, for fear of being denied further interviews, are one of the main reasons for the proliferation of bullshit within the sport nowadays.

On a more positive note, I read today that the WBA are going to review their ranking of Jake Paul after protests from other ranked contenders.

Jake Paul is the Face of Boxing, he also does more for women's boxing and represents the best female boxers. He has conquered MMA/UFC, and his brother, the Great Logan Paul has conquered WWE. They, together, are the Face of Combat fighting. Tommy Fury beat a very raw Jake, via a close decision and got knocked down, he is a different animal now.

Jake Paul would wipe the floor with Canelo, that's why Canelo took the easier option with Crawford. Would Jake Paul beat Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk or Deontay Wilder (not the clone)? No, but him vs the winner of Beterbiev vs Bivol 3 would be a 50-50 bout.

Why does Lennox Lewis get credit for beating the shell of Mike Tyson? And Jake Paul does not for beating a revitalised and well-rested Mike Tyson, who had re-primed? Nash out - His Majesty
