Joshua in 2018 was an entirely different beast than Joshua in 2024. Might as well compare GGG from the third Canelo fight to the GGG who beat Daniel Geale.

If Parker outpointed ddd that wouldn't shock me. But I think Parker chin might be a little weakened and susceptible now by zhang. Which ddd might be able to capitalise on. Plus I just think ddd wins are a bit better of late

His chin has never been that amazing, down vs Whyte and Chisora, poleaxed by JJ, down x2 vs Zhang and I felt that he was in trouble early even vs jet lagged Bakole.

They picked Parker as a voluntary for Dubois to look good vs a name but Dubois got the flu.

He throws more punches now than he used to, and he's in better shape.

Back when he was fighting guys like Junior Fa and Alex Leapai I was ready to give up on him ever beating anybody with a pulse again, let alone top 10 opposition. He was a sluggish, timid fighter with poor punch output and no gas tank for at least three years after the Joshua loss even in fights he won. The Chisora fights are what brought the dog back out of Parker.

I'm not saying he'd beat Usyk or even take 4 rounds off the guy, but I think it's silly to say Parker has not improved as a fighter. Go back and watch him against Fa and Leapai. Fa is a no-hoper and Leapai was 900 years old, and Parker looked considerably worse against them than he did against Zhang, Bakole, or Wilder. Again, you can asterisk those three Parker opponents if you want but they were still better that Junior freaking Fa.

              I don`t think so. I just don`t.

How is beating Bakole, Wilder, Zhang any worse than beating Miller, Hrgovic and this version of Joshua, who is totally shot as people say?

He wasn't shot when people claimed he was, and he's not brilliant now. He's a decent sized good boxer, and potentially a titlist once more, but lacks any truly elite attributes.

                  Hrgovic
                  Miller
                  Joshua
                  Zhang
                  Wilder

                  Bakole (doesn't count)

That's how I'd rate those wins, Dubois last 3 CLEARLY better than parkers and it's not a close run thing either, there's distance between them.

Yeh, it's close not.much in it. Plus I think Parker losing to dillian white, and maybe under performed in more fights during career.

Man, Joshua like 4 years and 20 fights younger than Wilder, and nobody cutting Wilder this kind of slack for career end loses.
