Parker and Kabayel are both in their 30s and both have several quality wins. Parker has already won a heavyweight title once before and he's on a really nice run lately. Either guy is very deserving of a shot at the title and they're both seeking it even though it would probably be better for them if Usyk retires because then they'd be promoted to full titlists. And if they get the Usyk fight they're likely just gonna lose.Comment

No mystery. We have seen long term partnerships end like this when the big pay days come. Krassyuk probably asked for a bigger cut. Usyk probably said no thanks. Has about 2 big Saudi paydays left why keep paying a cut to an extra man that is not needed. These boxers who are free agent and getting Saudi paydays, they don't actually need their promoters or managers anymore or have to give them a big cut. Turki offers take it or leave it offers to fighters. Most accept as their highest paydays. No need to keep giving a cut to middle men anymoreComment

No mistery. Usyk doesn't need a promotor at this point.
He has probably about 1-2 fights left. Why pay a cut to some promotor?Comment

I must say, I was thinking the same thing. When the big money starts rolling in, the standard cut which they have been paying for years suddenly appears huge. Even 10% of $100M is $10M. Why pay so much money when you no longer need the services? I remember GGG did the same thing when he started making Canelo money. He ditched Abel because he would not work for a flat fee but demanded his usual percentage. Boxers start focusing on retirement and all unnecessary expenses are eliminated. I did the same in my own life. When I decided to retire, I cut or eliminated all expenses which were optional and did not deliver great value.Comment

That was slightly different circumstances, although the same issue - money. If I remember correctly, Spence just did not pay the usual percentage at one point. When James complained the argument ended up in court over the contract - was it written or just verbal? Something like that. Don't know if it was settled.Comment

It’s the effect of having these fights under the Turki banner, he doesn’t need to pay somebody 10% of his purse for something he doesn’t need and that’s krassyuk promoting him because turki and the people under that banner on doing that job for him so why keep a guy and pay million of dollars or whatever when he’s not neededComment
