Same pattern with Benavidez. Waitied for him to grow out of the division and ducked him blatantly.Fonseca17 likes this.

As I have stated in some of my previous posts, related to his fight 'Terrence Crawford is not the best fighter Canelo Alvarez has fought. Skill for skill win or lose, Alvarez has fought multiple better fighters than Terrene Crawford. Such as Floyd Mayweather Junior, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Dmitry Bivol, Erislandy Lara. Now? Not all of those fighters skill for skill are better than Crawford, but for sure even fighters like Golovkin, Bivol and Cotto have areas of their game that are superior to Terrence Crawford's'.
Note: So as you can see Canelo Alvarez has a vast amount of experience competing against fighters ether better than Terrence Crawford 'or skill for skill at the very least of a comparable level'.
It is the timing of this fight, which is going to be a big factor in the outcome 'Which one of the fighters, are closer or further away from their absolute peak form? I think many people would say that Terrence Crawford is the more in form fighter, and closer to his peak levels of game. But will this dynamic in the matchup, be enough for Terrence Crawford to negate Canelo Alvarez? We will only truly find out on fight night'.
Skill for skill I think Canelo Alvarez is easily in the top 3 best fighters Terrence Crawford has ever fought 'So when you analyse the match up, you will understand? That Canelo Alvarez in many areas in boxing and overall is the best fighter Terrence Crawford has ever competed against. Skill for skill I would rate Canelo Alvarez easily in the top 3 best fighters Crawford has fought, and then in terms of brute strength, power, and durability? Canelo Alvarez is definitively the strongest and best fighters Terrence Crawford has competed against'.
To conclude: What is keeping Terrence Crawford in this fight is the unknown factor 'Crawford for the majority of his career has weight drained himself extensively. At 168 pounds he is most likely going to be stronger, and more optimal prepared than in all of his recent fights. So the timing of the fight, combined with Terrence Crawford moving up to 168 pounds, which will aid in improving the quality of his training camp. In my opinion, those are the details of this matchup, which give Terrence Crawford a chance of winning' etc.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 06-26-2025, 07:04 AM.

I say skill wise yes. Crawford is a harder fight for Canelo because he is the more flexible and unpredictable of the two fighters.
Not only is he the more versatile of the two. With the ability of making adjustments on the fly but also, his ring IQ is second to none
However, when it comes to physical ability the answer is no. While Crawford is naturally smaller, quicker and faster than GGG and yet GGG was the same size as Canelo.
He was naturally wider and stronger.. Who punched a whole lot harder above 147lbs than Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford currently does.Last edited by champion4ever; 06-27-2025, 04:39 AM.
