Based on Canelo's career opponent selection he doesn't think about a prime Crawford. Crawford doesn't have a history of ducking fighters in their prime.. Canelo does. Crawford is also the older fighter moving up two weight classes. So no amount of excuses for Canelo will cut it here

We will never know. Both GGG and Crawford had to play soft for the Boss who writes the paychecks.

or G just wasnt good enough to beat canelo like we thought he would. crawford will suffer the same faith.

People may not realize that Crawford is essentially jumping up three weight classes, not two. He moved up to 154 to barely beat Madrimov a year ago. Now a year later, he's moving up to 168, a weight that he's never fought at. He's going to feel heavy and slow @168, but with the power of a 147 pounder.

Maybe look the same way he looked against, Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, and every other top tier opponent he faced. Not very good. How do you think Crawford would have done against Steve Rolls?

Why would he Crawford's and Canelo's weight divisions always separated them even when both were peak simultaneously

I was being sarcastic about your claim that Crawford wouldn't think of fighting prime Canelo. But your statement is contradictory. The same can be said for Crawford regarding Canelo.

If that was the case Canelo wouldn't have created his own 155 lb middleweight championship limit to avoid Golovkin for years before they fought. By the time Golovkin was 35 and looking vulnerable Canelo conveniently wanted to make the fight.

Same pattern with Benavidez. Waitied for him to grow out of the division and ducked him blatantly.

As I have stated in some of my previous posts, related to his fight 'Terrence Crawford is not the best fighter Canelo Alvarez has fought. Skill for skill win or lose, Alvarez has fought multiple better fighters than Terrene Crawford. Such as Floyd Mayweather Junior, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Gennady Golovkin, Dmitry Bivol, Erislandy Lara. Now? Not all of those fighters skill for skill are better than Crawford, but for sure even fighters like Golovkin, Bivol and Cotto have areas of their game that are superior to Terrence Crawford's'.

Note: So as you can see Canelo Alvarez has a vast amount of experience competing against fighters ether better than Terrence Crawford 'or skill for skill at the very least of a comparable level'.

It is the timing of this fight, which is going to be a big factor in the outcome 'Which one of the fighters, are closer or further away from their absolute peak form? I think many people would say that Terrence Crawford is the more in form fighter, and closer to his peak levels of game. But will this dynamic in the matchup, be enough for Terrence Crawford to negate Canelo Alvarez? We will only truly find out on fight night'.

Skill for skill I think Canelo Alvarez is easily in the top 3 best fighters Terrence Crawford has ever fought 'So when you analyse the match up, you will understand? That Canelo Alvarez in many areas in boxing and overall is the best fighter Terrence Crawford has ever competed against. Skill for skill I would rate Canelo Alvarez easily in the top 3 best fighters Crawford has fought, and then in terms of brute strength, power, and durability? Canelo Alvarez is definitively the strongest and best fighters Terrence Crawford has competed against'.

To conclude: What is keeping Terrence Crawford in this fight is the unknown factor 'Crawford for the majority of his career has weight drained himself extensively. At 168 pounds he is most likely going to be stronger, and more optimal prepared than in all of his recent fights. So the timing of the fight, combined with Terrence Crawford moving up to 168 pounds, which will aid in improving the quality of his training camp. In my opinion, those are the details of this matchup, which give Terrence Crawford a chance of winning' etc.
