Toney could have did him worse than how he did him, in my opinion.

As far as Rahman goes, I don't see anything he can do better than Toney, aside from hitting harder, but even that is neutralized by Toney's excellent defense. Toney has a pretty hard chin, as well..
I agree with you about Rahman/Toney, Toney is the better fighter.

      Prescription Eyeglass time dude.

I never said he was. I said that Rahman wouldnt land cleanly on him. "Pummeled" by Jirov? HAHA. Jirov could have hit Toney with a small missile in that fight and he wouldnt have hurt him. Toney was ready to go another 3 rounds, if Jirov had, he would have been KTFO and possibly scarred for life. You expect Rahman to throw over 1000 punches in a fight? Because Jirov threw well over 1000 and thats the only reason anyone paid that any attention...5% of them actually landed with anything on them. I legitimately think that Toney would beat Rahman because, yeah, Rahman has a nice overhand right, but Toney's better EVERYWHERE else.

My point was Danny fought Toney the way Ruiz would in that session, very close and would smother a lot of Toneys shots.

While it may have been just sparring, Green still landed a considerable amount of shots and wasnt the quickest either.

Toney sucks when a guy smothers him, you sure as hell dont see Toney move on his feet to well.

Theres something that I am having teouble understanding here. If james was pummeled by Jirov, then why does James have a big W next to his name in the record book while Jirov has a big L next to his name?..............Rockin'

His performance "******" against Jirov? Toney fights on the inside as well as anybody...

I don't know how he'll fare against Huggy Bears hugging...but then again nobody does.

Not that I think Rahman is the greatest thing the heavies have by any means, but I do feel that he would be too much for Toney. Toney had one hell of a time with Jirov and that fight was up for grabs until the last round. Look what Moorer did to Jirov and rethink Toney and his place. I think as a boxer Toney is more overated than anyone. He is definitely hitable and Jirov found him easily. A number of posters on this board think Toney is the greatest fighter to ever enter the ring and to hear them talk about him you would think he never lost a fight in his life. It never ceases to aamze me at how Toney is held in such elevated regard. Roy kicked the **** out of him and made him look foolish. He has also lost to lower caliber boxers and looked bad doing so. Someone like Vit, Wlad, or even the Rock would get to Toney with bigger shots and seriously hurt him. IMO Jirov had him hurt a few times in their fight and didn't do enough to capitalize.

The point is...Rahman and Jirov fight nothing alike. If Rahman pressures Toney, that will be playing right into Toneys hands. In Rahmans normal style, I don't see him landing on Toney cleanly on a frequent enough basis to get him outta there.

You ARE the same guy who scored for Hagler in his fight for Leonard aren't you? Or am I mistaken...

Tell me...why did you score the fight for Hagler? It was because he landed the harder, cleaner, more significant shots isn't it.

95% of the **** that Jirov hit Toney with did NOTHING to Toney. Sure, I guess a lot of punches looks nice, but so don't pretty flurries off the ropes....

No. I scored it in favor of Hagler because SRL was on his fugging bike fighting like a *****.
