Rock challenges Toney to sparring match.

Rahman- "James does a lot of talking and running off at his mouth, but let's see if he could back it up in the ring with me. I mean, he wouldn't have to pay me, I'll help him get ready for Ruiz and show him he's nowhere near my level at the same time."

Let us do see that. At least we know Rahman isn't shot like everyone else James has fought at heavyweight.

Ya, I hope they do it. I don't know why Rock had to make it all about him being the best and challenging Toney. They would both help each other. The Rock's attitude makes me think that they should not do it because he will be trying to hurt Toney right before Toney's match against Ruiz. And if Toney hurt the Rock he would have months to recover.

so long as toney keeps away from rahman's right hand, it should be a good experince for him, ruiz beat the rock,so i don't see why people are saying he isn't shot

James Toney is a GOD in the gym, anybody whose ever seen him spar knows that he's bullet-proof when he's got the headgear on, Rahman is a bad-a$$ but I'd never challenge Lights Out to a workout thats 4 sure

REALLY?? Have you ever seen James Toney in the gym against Middlweight Danny Green?

Green handed Toney his ass, so much for in the gym theory right?

Something ironic, Green fought Toney in that sparring session like Ruiz fights.

            Ruiz by decision.

Alot people don't seem to understand that James Toney is a masterful fighter, it seems people just like to degrade him for his flaws. I honestly believe that he is the best heavyweight out there right now.

he may be the most skillful
but i think the size diff wouldnt let him beat Vitali

Oh please shut up with that ****. Green didn't hand Toney his ass and you know it. What entails handing someone their ass anyway? From what I saw, it looked like Greens face was going downhill in a hurry and Toney was just laughing at him when he'd try and unload on him...

Green hit Toney with nice combos and landed at will, Toney might have had more power shots but take nothing away from Green as he is a MIDDLEWEIGHT and Toney is a HEAVYWEIGHT.

I take nothing away from Toney but his style is going to hurt him in the heavyweight division eventually he is going to try and counter a shot that will put his lights out.

James isnt one to use great footwork and that will be his flaws.

His positives are his counter punching and hand speed but he isnt getting any younger.
