Why does Lewis get a pass for blatantly ducking Vitali rematch?

When you're pushing 40 theres no real expectation or obligation to carry on. That applies to Usyk too who honestly could have retired after the first Fury fight with his head held high. I respect Usyk for sticking around, but he is playing with fire doing so. Lennox saw the writing on the wall and got out.

Lewis did what great fighters do and found a way to win.

Remember that an unprepared Lewis got sparked by Rahman and Mccall, but an unprepared lewis still manages to force a stoppage on Vitali.

I understand Vitali wanting a rematch but Lewis was within his rights to retire, he realized he just didn't have it anymore.
"...first Vitali fight"? It was the only fight vs Vitali.

Vitali lost to Byrd due to some shoulder injury that he decided to quit in the ring and it took some stock away from him.

Lewis retired and never came back, so I do not know how that was a duck?
Yeah, calling retirement after a long career a duck is just silly.

I was kinda wondering when that comparison was going to pop up. My pick, having seen all of the aforementioned fight live and many of then in training.......Nah. who cares?

                I will say that.....Nah. no I won't.

Yes it was a blatant dodge. Lewis waited too, hoping Vitali lost to Sanders and Kirk Johnson. Then when Vitali battered both, then Lennox quit because he didn't want to fight Vitali again. I think it's safe to assume Lennox felt he got lucky and Vitali was only getting better while Lennox was declining by the month.

The media was always anti Klitschko and anti Eastern European so Lennox ducking Vitali was excused and ignored.

People still making excuses for Lennox.

Floyd rematched Maidana. Roy rematched Tarver.

Traditionally, I believe the guy called up as replacement is disadvantaged.
But Andy Ruiz replaced jarrel Millar for Josh and didn't do too badly. Bakole against parker, not so good for bakole
