It’s a hard one. When you hear Fabio talk it’s refreshing to hear such an educated fella. He’s clearly a humble respectable fella that you can’t help but support and he sure offers entertainment in the ring. I understand why he would baulk at a rematch here, but right now for his development, maybe that’s actually the best move for him. If we feed him to an Usyk or Dubois, does anyone expect anything but a loss for fab? I guess if he’s picking strategically he will go the way he wants. I just don’t want to see Wardley get hurt badly as I genuinely like him that much outside the ring. He’s a kind man.

No hw is safe from Huni. If they don't throw something big, they will likely lose.

His chin isn't good enough...Huni was out on his feet against the average Lerena and was dropped hard over the weekend. Although he has a great work rate and awkward fighting style, I think he'll get stopped by ANY top Heavyweight e.g. Usyk, Dubois, Kabayel, Fury etc.

This hype will be over soon, Kownacki and Joyce vibe over and over again. the question is who will be his Helenius/Zhang.

To be fair to Olympic medalist Joyce, now; his shortcommings weren't about being overhyped or overestimated. With him, it was staying too long at Amateur and turning pro old, which made for a short, short prime.
But what a prime it was! Made short work of Parker and Dubois in their respective primes. Who else is doing that these days?

Can make a living at the British level for days, even he knows at the World title level he’d be unable to make the grade. Whyte would definitely beat him, Joshua would be a good pay day, Zhang would beat him. But Usyk would destroy him and to be fair he knows it. Likeable guy, hope he earns and gets out with a nest egg.

Wardley is a humble guy who has always been honest about his limitations, he had no amateur career at all and is getting by vs much more experienced and skilled opponents on pure grit and a big punch, what's not to like?

Of course on forums unless you are the best in the world you are a bum and might as well retire...

Americans criticizing British heavyweights right now is just hilarious to me, America has no place in heavyweight boxing. None, and Americans should keep quiet about the division.

Wardley should leave Davidson though, Davidson teaches the same hands down style to every fighter and it's all wrong for someone as brutally slow as wardley who should be working behind a high guard at all times.

Why do you say lucky? I've looked at the replay several times - it was a devastatingly timed counter punch. He saw the right hand from Huni coming, he took his head off the line to the left and planted his left foot and then crashed a straight right on to Hunis face that probably had some forward motion, adding to the concussive impact. That may well win KO of the year.

You could say he needed some luck for Huni to become careless but that doesn't stack up either. Huni by his own admission made one mistake and Wardley was skilled enough to exploit it to the fullest.

And, he has increased the fear factor amongst most of his opponents going forward so they will be more tentative. Most HWs can't box like Huni.
