Lets face it - these judges are crooked. I know you can't say it but it's there just too many times. Tim Cheatem is Tim Cheat-Them. The issue is they only get paid 2-3,000 for these fights, if that, and so it's just so easy to give them a hidden back-hander - free use of a 5 star condo in Dominican Republic for a couple of weeks etc etc

Good article, thanks Eric. I've been a Plant fan for a while and think he's got good skills, but I see a lot of slippage too, and think it's probably close to time for him to hang them up if he doesn't want to be a permanent gatekeeper. This was a particularly damaging result.

I know, right? I think Plant's blue eyes exaggerate that deer-in-the-headlights look, but whatever the reason, it's a tell. Any opponent can instantly know he's hurt.

Two things. One, that judge Sutherland us obviously a problem, shouldn't judge anymore, or at least get suspended.

Teach him how to judge more intelligently. Two, in most cases, don't let fights marinate, just sign it and make it happen. Charlo-Plant last saturday would've made sense.

Charlo would've won, but still, would've been more interesting. Well done though, to Resendiz.

What upset?? Abit of a surprise maybe. The media overhyped Plant just because he represents some sort of All-American action figure. He took two beatings when he stepped up and fought bums after his only noticeable win vs Uzcategui and he barely won that one too, he was holding and running for dear life. Resendiz is Mexican. That means toughness. The real boxing experts knew Plant was gonna have a problem.
