What upset?? Abit of a surprise maybe. The media overhyped Plant just because he represents some sort of All-American action figure. He took two beatings when he stepped up and fought bums after his only noticeable win vs Uzcategui and he barely won that one too, he was holding and running for dear life. Resendiz is Mexican. That means toughness. The real boxing experts knew Plant was gonna have a problem.

He won the Uzcategui fight wide, but emerged looking like he had kissed a chainsaw. Plant has always been overrated.

The body shots from Resendiz were definitely hurting Plant. If he had done a bit more of it he might have stopped Plant.
I was a Plant fan for about 10 minutes after he beat up that MAGAT a whole Macumbay.

Plant managed to make his 5 minutes of fame last a lifetime seeing he scored a beautiful wife by being an undesirable, undeserved champion hell he could still be in a double wide in Tennessee somewhere.

Plant is a fool's gold fighter. A bunch of hype, beats some bad fighters, and the less than brilliant fans prop him up like he is a real tough guy. He acts like a real idiot....slapping Charlo, pushing Alvarez, doing the grave digger thing when he stopped ancient Dirrell. Asking Canelo if he thought that he was good during the fight. He is a head case.

He is a straight up a hole in real life and he has B list talent. Benavidez beat him to pieces. Resendiz embarrassed him.

It's partially annoying because he is such a d o u c h e and he isn't even fun to watch and yet he has hype trained himself into being a name. If he was really good or a big knockout guy it would be at least worth it to see his fights. But he is just all flash and talk.

He is the definition of a cringe fighter. Just needs to retire.
