Last night he fought like someone who was shell shocked. Even in the early going he seemed lethargic and had none of the zest he used to. His fire was gone. His punches had no Bad Intentions. He seemed uneasy from the opening bell. His jab was just pawing and his right hand was nowhere to be seen.

It is time for him to escape now, enjoy his life in retirement. He gave us a lot. He was a true gentleman of the sport who when at his best was a true P4P top 4 fighter. He gave his all in the ring even though he would rather be doing other things. when you take that into consideration, the guy went really far.

Hopefully that list of fighters has earned him enough money to retire without any money problems. I'd like to see him as a commentator in the future, I wouldn't mind hearing him do the rest of the Super Six if he doesn't fight.

I still wouldnt feel AS worried against Ward... but... what if he wins? what if he made the semi finals and had to fight Abraham or Froch again? It would be terrible.

Just saying... respect for Jermain Taylor.
He's never ducked anyone or 'cherry picked' any of his opponents- much to his detriment. I really feel for him though, he seemed to have done everything possible in his preparation but doesn't seem like he can compete on an elite level anymore...

I wouldn't be worried for Taylor against Ward as well.

A rematch with Froch or Abraham would worry me though which is why i don't think Ward is worth fighting.

                Taylor should hang them up.

And not a fighter who faced the best and just got blown out... someone who was ALWAYS a viable threat in the fight if not winning the fight before he lost..
