Taylor is still good enough to compete in this tournament and will give all the boxers a hard fight and I pick taylor to beat froch in a rematch.
Not after last nights KO man, Froches was a weak looking TKO, but the shot he took last night was acareer ending one. He can continue if he wants to collect two checks, he is supposed to fight ward then kesller. If he fights to go 12 and not win he should be fine, but even now he might get stopped by non punchers.

Well said. Imho. always tries to win to the last bell and comes across well.

If this is the end -- good luck to him. Hope he has nuff money in the bank.

If he pulls out of the super six - no shame whatsoever.

Can't really be mad if he pulls out at all... I might even feel better.

Although I don't feel Ward poses the same threat at all.

I would prefer for him to stay. This is what is going to show if he's a true champion or not.

Before the Abraham fight, everyone was giving him 'one more chance'. A true champion comes back after all of his chances are gone, after everyone tells him to retire, quit, stop fighting etc.

Jones got KTFO by Tarver in 2 rounds, lost the rubbermatch, got KTFO by Johnson in 9 rounds, lost an embarrassing 12 round dec to Calzaghe...And Still comes back! that's a true champ.

Now nobody cares about Taylor being in the Tourney anymore. But honestly, now that he's basically out of chances according to a lot of his fans, and media, i want to see how he reacts now that everyone has absolutely erased him off the map and sees him as a fighter who will get KTFO from now on.

This is where we will see the REAL Jermain Taylor.

If he wants to quit, then whatever, i'm still a fan and good luck to him in his retirement.

You're joking? Fighting a heavy puncher on his own turf until he gets sparked cold when it's obvious he's in trouble but he carries on, and coming off KO's against Froch and Pavlik, is the very definition of heart. I can't believe you wrote such a nonsensical statement.

How long does he keep getting beat like this?

There is quitting and then there is knowing when enough is finally enough.

                Concussions? Can't leave Germany?

His very last fight ended in being absolutely beaten on the ropes, and old RJ whooped Lacy twice as bad as Jermain...

Like I said, there's quitting and just knowing when to call it a career, nobody would ever call it quitting after fighting everyone he has fought.

I will say this though, I don't see Andre Ward posing anywhere near the same risk that Abraham did.

You guys are entitled to your opinions, but what's not to like about Taylor? I can't think of anything.

Me either, I really can't, I like his demeanor, his attitude, his personality.. he seems pretty non-arrogant.. I really just like him as a person, and he I always felt he fought with heart... he was never afraid in there.
