In both fights I think the first rounds no one landed at all, if I remember correct. Landed punches were scarce throughout both fights and it was hard to pick between them.

I don't think he should retire either. He is guaranteed 50-50 against Abe ward and Kessler, and the Kessler fight will bring hima few million. He should fight, but not try to really fight, just avoid gettign stopped.

if you believe compubox(which i dont, its a total scam..... but i know some of you people do), taylor outlanded hopkins in 7 rounds of the first fight(even though in the whole fight hopkins landed more, because he pretty much whooped taylor in some rounds), 8 of the second fight(which was actually debatable imo)......................................and if you actually watch the fight, he did outland him(regardless of quality of shots...and people give waaay too much credit for pretty looking shots anyway...)......

I have much respect for Jermain ... he just gasses out after the 8th round now ... he hits a brick wall in the late rounds ... 0 stamina left

That was the biggest thing to me, he always recognized the best fighters, and always wanted to fight them to prove himself. Forget about his abilities, it's his mindset that I always applauded.
I have followed him early on as well. One of my favorite fighters. These days I realize how much he has actually done. I always wonder what would have happened if he would have got the Calzaghe fight before he fought Pavlik. Not to say he would win I just thought the match up would be interesting. We love fighters for talents as well flaws. Taylor is a thowback to old school fighters that were humble amd made it very difficult for you not to root for. Watching him lose or take punishment is like watching it happen to a friend. Its hard to watch and your Heart goes out to him. For his health I would not mind seeing him walk away, however if there could be any fighter to have a "Cinderella man" type comeback I would love it to be Taylor.
