I still remember Ali's beat down, Roy's, Hopkins, Tyson, Pryor, and Mosley. The list goes on. I was sad when I saw Mosley quit like that in Australia smdh.

Floyd, Calazage & Ward were pretty smart. Get the money, keep the 0 and Go.

giving this version of manny a beat down turns Jaron into villain boosting his drawing power

I mean....aren't there some Youtubers out here that Manny can fight? At the very least, he still has a name; why not use it maintain some level of safety while making a few bucks? It's Manny-frickin-Pacquiao....where are his handlers?

Suuuuurely they can pick somebody from the Misfits for Manny to face. Sad state of affairs here and validates what Floyd had been saying about him eons ago.

As for what it does for his legacy if he wins, TBRB have Barrios #2 at 147 so it would be a respectable win.
He is grown, but he also sees the money or is hearing what kind of crazy money can be made if he can get passed Barrios. It had to excite him no doubt. Seeing Manny's mentality, he seems to cherish challenges continuously, whether in boxing or outside. Dude would always be playing pool or basketball if it wasn't boxing and it makes it seem like, boxing was always his first true passion and if he feels he can get into shape, he would give it a shot, regardless of knowing he's no longer the same.

I don't think this will do jack to his legacy other than perhaps enhance if he wins (granted it's the weakest of the champs) or he loses and people will write it off that he was already too old, so no biggie. I wouldn't quite list it as a major accomplishment for him at this point in his overall career, but I guess as far as old boxers coming back and winning a belt, it can be considered. Wasn't George Foreman 45? That would be a greater feat then if Pac pulled it off at 46. Though that should be the end of it. I wouldn't want to see him face a major belt holder in their prime. Barrios although in his prime years is probably tailor made for Pacqiuiao. Though a Pacquiao at 46? That's a hard one to bet on no matter how weak Barrios might be of the champs at WW.

Foreman won the true heavyweight championship so I don't think that achievement will ever be surpassed. The belts are a joke at this point, which is why I emphasised Barrios' TBRB ranking: #2 after Boots with championship vacant. It would be a good win albeit in a weak division.

So what would a win mean for Pacquiao? He’d be the 2nd oldest fighter to win a world title after B-Hop. He’d be to my knowledge the only fighter to win a world title in 4 different decades (90’s, 00’s, 10’s, 20’s.)
He already is acclaimed as the only 4 decade champ, since he was still champ in the 2020's, albeit briefly. The WBC being what they are, might let him drag out his title with no or very weak defenses until it gets into the 2030's. And he's already the only 8 division world champ that likely will ever be.

Lennox also exited the sport with everything intact and as a winner. Though some think he ducked the Vitali rematch and walked away from $25m plus. But Lennox probably felt he couldn't beat Vitali a second time and hung em up. I don't even remember Super Joe's final fight or how he retired. Ward wasnt a draw on his own and that factored into his retiring, no big demand to see him fight. Floyd... all his fights under the guaranteed money contracts with HBO and Showtime looked vaguely suspect. Also suspect was him dodging the Pac rematch and another $100m plus for what he claimed was an easy fight. Though Holyfield said he thought Pac won.

Do you realise what weight pac started at and what pacs age is? Barrios is favourite for a reason. Barrios should be able to have an off night, whilst pac has great night and barrios should still win considering this stage of pac s career

On what planet would Pac's team allow him to share the same ring with Ennis? Pac won't be unifying anything, and I don't think he'll be facing a non-PBC fighter. Pac/Tank is way more likely than Pac/Ennis.
